Directed by Ciara Hyland, Croíthe Radacacha (Radical Hearts) is a feature documentary that explores the hidden stories of eight female couples who were at the core of the Easter Rising and the fight to free Ireland from the British Empire.

Featuring contributions from prominent LGBTQ+ activists and academics such as Ailbhe Smyth, Ciara Ní É and Eoin McEvoy (founders of LGBTQ+ Irish Language group Aerach Aiteach Gaelach), this in-depth exploration promises to refocus how we perceive these women and their contributions to the Irish revolution.

Croíthe Radacacha will air on Wednesday, December 6, at 9:30pm on TG4.

For anyone wondering, TG4 have a free online player which usually has subtitles in English. The player is also available outside Ireland.

interesting epsiode of the programme "bailte", this one about building community around irish language revival in sleacht néill. they said in the programme that in the 90s there were only 6 irish speakers in the general area and now there are 300 people with fluent irish which is amazing!

Ok, so I know this isn't the way that Tumblr works (being the website that actually has a culture of anonymity!!), but I'm just so proud of this show, I have to share here!! 🥳🙌💃✨

For my debut acting role ONSCREEN, I have been so lucky to play a part as crazy, as fun, as FERAL, as Briain Mac Pia- oh sorry! - "Braon Poitín" 😉 who tries to spread the "Good News" of the Créatar 🥃 to everyone he meets!! 😱😂

The entire filming process was so enjoyable, SO FUN 🤩 and it has been wonderful to ve part of such a special show💃🙌🥳 An actual Irish language comedy aimed at young people, but for everyone, which CELEBRATES not only the Gaeilge and actual Gaeltacht culture, but the culture of ✨ the craic ✨ as well 😌😇
