You know how when you have to give a pet medicine you wrap it up in like cheese or some kind of snack to make it go down easier?

The Good Place is like that in the way that the medicine is an extreme existential crisis about mortality and the cheese is funny one-liners and 6 silly blorbos to project onto.

if you want to watch an actually well-written exploration of humanity winding up in hell and attempting to navigate redemption, watch the good place. seriously, i’ve never heard anyone have a bad thing to say about it.

i know it’s less fun because it’s not an animated cartoon with cool pop songs, which is part of what makes hazbin hotel so disappointing currently, but it gets the message across much better and isn’t contradictory in its plot or spiteful/hurtful to its audience.

the judgement is much more objective from neutral judges than actively cynical/sadist like adam, or biased like sera. heaven & hell are also renamed to, well, the good/bad place and don’t infringe on any biblical terms to the point of inaccuracy.

michael makes for a more worthy diplomat than charlie, in my opinion, especially after the first season. it’s a slow run, but it’s complete and i highly recommend it!

Reasons Michael from The Good Place is sex/romance repulsed aromantic asexual

1. “Kissing is gross. You just mash your food holes together. It’s not for that.”

2. “I have no real ability to gauge the physical attractiveness of humans. But no, you did not pull it off.”

3. Him being supportive of his friends romantic relationships but no desire for it himself. I’m convinced his lack of desire isn’t even from the fact he’s a demon because other demons and otherworldly beings like The Judge show an active interest in sex and romance for themselves and find people attractive. It’s literally just Michael

4. Him never being shown to end up with anyone even when he is a human. He’s shown to have friends and loved ones, but not a significant other. Just him vibing with his dog. Further supporting the fact that his lack of interest isn’t “just a demon thing”

5. I’m aro/ace and he’s my favourite character and I say so
