okuay...GBoH isn't technically an OL, it's a Breath of the Wild AU and uses canon characters but I basically talk about it like it's an OL and most of these guys are basically my OCs anyway + I am in. a bad mood. and just want to talk + GBoH is my baby + etc + idc. despair

The original inspiration was from a comic by @/pluviatrix about Link getting mad at Hylia. Like, I am not a reincarnation theory person, haven't been for years, and back when I started I was very much dealing with my frustrations with that part of fanon, but. cmon. "someday I will burn my hands on god and drag her down screaming" is a banger line. Initially the idea was Hylia tormenting Link with visions of past Links, but then I was like. Nah. Boring. If Hylia's gonna be nasty enough to make Link want to kill her, I need him to be nasty too. Also how will Link reach a version of Hylia that doesn't have a corporeal form? So it became a Link corruption arc! Bunch of other things too, hehe.

✔ (GBoH) How did you come up with the title of your OL? What does it mean?

Golden Blood on his Hands is about Link wanting to kill a god, and the aftermath. It has some fun double meanings and allusions, some of which I won't spoil! For example, there's a legend about why the Sheikah have red eyes in GBoH (they were cursed by Hylia for not accepting her at first, so their "eyes are stained with the blood of their kin") and.

his eyes r yeller. it's a little silly for my tastes, but it's been a thing for a while.

it's gotta be either a really stupid fake rivalry between Zelda and Ganondorf, or a proper young Impa. I keep making old Impas, I don't know why. Old Impa fun.
