Astarion is my favorite character for many reasons, but one is that I relate so heavily with his story of abuse, resilience and survival. I’ve never felt more seen then when I played his story line. To me, Astarion shows that change is possible with the right support.

He has become my comfort character and because of him I’ve started drawing again and I’ve started drawing men. I may not be the best artist, and I may not be as amazing as other artists I see but my style is just as unique. Maybe it’s more cartoony, but there’s nothing wrong with that.

There are things about this piece that could stand to be changed, and I could probably put more work into the shading, but for now I’m done. My husband keeps telling me if I ever start to feel stressed about a piece to just move onto the next one.

Anyway, I hope you like it and thank you to those who support my artwork. It really means a lot to me to see my art being liked and reblogged. It makes me feel a little less insecure, so again thank you.

As I stand on the last day of the year, I would like to share a summary of this year with my network since it was an eye opener for me. Strangely enough, it put everything in perspective. I became acutely aware of the fact that all goals, dreams, achievements and accomplishments are relative. Having learnt that, I have ever since been acutely aware of the balance between the professional and the personal life. Here are my key take aways in 2022: 1. Health and well- being (both physical and mental) are essential and non negotiable. It motivates me to take time out for some kind of physical activity or meditation at least every alternate day. 🧘🏼‍♂️ 2. Take time out for one act of kindness everyday without expecting anything in return. It can be as small as helping someone with some information or lending an ear to someone in anguish, but no act of kindness is too small.👂🏼 3. As important it is to succeed in your endeavours, it is more important to build long lasting relationships on and off work that transcend the transactional. I owe my sanity in this year to few such gems in my life.🫶🏼 Last but not the least, I am super grateful to all those in my circle who made this difficult year worthwhile for me and you words of encouragement throughout 2022.
