I’m about this close to getting angry enough to write a fic purely out of the pent-up hate I have toward a certain fandom, because yes, I’m that person who writes fics (or original stuff, who writes in general) because everything I’m seeing looks like total crap or gets on my nerves so much that I feel an overwhelming need to create something that doesn’t make me want to throw myself out of a fifth-floor window.

Shout out to my inspiration for making a crit blog i wanna rant about sander sides for a second.

Its been 5 fucking years of watching this asshole lie, and fucking string along his fanbase. We were promised the season finally 5 YEARS AGO

then covid, so we went on break. Then the main writer left. And after that? About 3 years?

His fanbase is full of fucking white knights dude everytime u try to comment thats its been 5 years and thomas keeps lying someone with logan sanders pfp will chasitize you “thomas dosent owe us content” fans pay, The pateron For sander sides fucking updates! Its been 5 years and he keeps SAYING its gonna be soon. The people who pay are atleast owed transparency.

Idgaf if sander sides got cancellee. Idc about the ending what i ask is transparency is for him to be honest once in his life. For him to go “hey i dont wanna finish sander sides” or “hey im not gonna work on it rn” or “lowky come back in a year when i wanna finish the ending”

Instead he posts how “roman gets a sidestory” and its roleslaying with roman wich barely has anything to do with sander!roman at all.

Instead we get “working on the script!!” Every few months.

if we do get a sander sides anything, its a fucking ad or a short that completely fucks with the canon, remus has had more short time then episode time.

The scott cawthon style of storytelling gimme a break. Atleast his stories are good.

And thats not the worse part, the worse part ks he shames every fan that publically that asks for sander sides. Guilt tripping tf outta them. “Thiers so much pressure to finish, i wanna work on it when i want to” THEN TELL PEOPLE THAT!! Tell them u wanna work on other projects, stop using sander sides as a character on a stick. Just be honest for once in your life

And yknow underpaying his people. Using ai then going against ai, and all his other shady shit. Read the blog i linkedif your curious. Hes just such a asshole. And a bunch of his fans are die hard simps who will wait for that final till the end of time. Toxic postivity drowns that fandom.

I love the sides so much. It pains me, only fandom i had to leave cause the fandom was toxic.

Have you ever started writing a multi-chapter fanfic with little knowledge of what your plot's gonna be but you post it on ao3/wattpad anyway?

It then gets attention and as you go the readers start speculating and making theories.

Yeah, well, 16 chapters in and I still don't know whatever the hell I am doing!

lol now Reylos are getting upset over the line “Strength of her friends.”   Because forbid Rey wish for or desire to have connections and relationships with people not named Ben Solo.  I honestly think that they would rather have Rey alone and miserable for the rest of her life. And would have her live her life in misery and agony in the absence of  Kylo Ren.

Than for her to move on and live a joyful, happy, and life filled with content with her friends.  Especially if she were to fall in love and be happy in a romantic relationship.

Rey’s story and arc was sacrificed at the alter of Kylo in TROS and they still aren’t happy unless Rey is written to pledge 100% devotion and dedication to  Kylo Ren and to never stray from her devotion and dedication.  And to promise that she will forever be linked to him even in death and not allow herself to show gratitude, appreciation, or care for her friends.

They see Rey as nothing by a servant to Kylo and his arc.

Brain on a daily tangent

I wonder if The Good Place ‘Jeremy Bearimy’ timeline can be used as a valid timeline for other shows? What made me think of this was the dot of the eye that breaks Chidi. It exists by itself of what never happens and Tuesdays.

You know what other show has a thing about Tuesdays? I probably won’t have to mention the name, they’ll find this. They always do.

On Lena and the secret

I’m still looking but has anybody commented on  Lena Luthor for keeping Reign a secret? I love Lena but this is the second time she almost accidentally destroyed the world being tricked into building the Transgate allowing the Daxamite army to come through and now trying to fix Sam of Reign by herself! Lena is smart absolutely. But she shouldn’t have been trying to do this alone and while I understand some of her concern on why telling the general population that she had Reign would be a bad idea but clearly she also either doesn’t trust Supergirl (who knows if she’d want revenge after Reign nearly killing her and the fact that technically Supergirl does kill despite their insistence to the contrary which is hypocritical of her but anyways) and also has severe issues of needing to do things herself and to prove that she’s a good person that she makes a terrible call repeatedly. And sure she is going to be so thrilled when she finds out she was on the outside the whole time she could have at least tried to have Supergirl help and now the World killers are together. 

Anyways it is extremely rich that one of the things against Mon-El is that he didn’t tell Kara about being the Prince of Daxam and a reason illogical antis say their relationship is “toxic”. Even though everybody is keeping secrets. He thought his planet was dead and everyone died and that is what he was told. So why would Mon-El have ever needed to tell her that when he knew what her opinion of Daxam was from the start? And that was for being an ordinary daxaamite that she instantly assumed he was the bad guy at first let alone if he said he was the Prince of them at the time. But being royalty of a dead planet and nonexistent people would have no relevance to the situation. Of course that turned out to not be the case and actually important but he wouldn’t have known that. And he was going to tell her a couple times. Also quite importantly, Kara never asked once about his life. He volunteered all that information and was never under any obligation to share anything. Not so with Lena who has to prove and be the one to cure Sam of Reign. And Sam being Reign is actually highly relevant to the situation unlike Kara getting mad at Mon-El for neglecting to mention being the Prince of a planet that they had told him was destroyed with no survivors (and that Kara never even bothered to ask him about as he would not have been really able to lie to her). I doubt Lena will have to do any groveling which fine they need her but its hypocritical when Mon-El had to. But who knows, maybe Lena will feel the wrath of an angry Kara which would be consistent and not hypocritical at least. But for all the people who said Kara/Mon-El was “toxic” (which it isn’t) because he neglected to tell her about the Prince thing, Lena is now far worse for not telling about having Reign for a while and trying to go it alone.
