Recently I saw a posted complaint about how the Lin Kuei were morally whitewashed in M1K & how some of the formerly villainous characters, like the former Lin Kuei Grandmaster & Empress Sindel, were made less reprehensible in the new timeline...

??? Of course they were??? It's Liu Kang's timeline??? His entire goal was peace and minimal suffering; he did everything in his power to make sure the people who could be better had the opportunity to do so & the ones who were beyond change in any timeline never got the opportunity to cause trouble & then he was extremely distressed when some of those irredeemable people got the opportunity anyway!
