I got myself to 501 boops. hell yeah.
and next in my fall series, i give you:
The 501 troopers do a Haunted house
They all paint little pumpkins and ghosts and whatnot on their armour in celebration in wash-off paint. They saved up their money for weeks (the trip had to be postponed at one point because Hardcase, Fives, Hevy, and Jesse went to 79s and spent more money than they should have on liquor)
And finally, one chilly fall day, Rex and Kix essentially pushed everyone into a speeder while screaming the halloween equivalent of “get in loser we’re going shopping!”
Fives: had the time of his l i f e. hardcase was making him double over from laughter, and echo’s exasperated sighs whenever a jump-scare happened just made it all better. fives is a horror movie ✨connoisseur✨so he didn’t find it really scary and really just entertaining. he really doesn’t like clowns, though. the clowns were the only scary part and he absolutely shrieked when one started maniacally laughing and chasing him.
(echo has that all on video, too).
he walked near Rex for most of the time and tried to get Rex to get scared
fives: *poking rex’s sides*“boo!”
rex: “there’s a clown behind you.”
fives: *screams and runs in the other direction*
Echo: thought this was the stupidest thing he’s ever done. his best friend is fives. he’s done
a l o t
of stupid things.
he had fun filming the reactions of his vod to the painfully fake-looking gore and props. he was especially proud of the little black and red skulls he had painted on his armour (haha foreshadowing-).
when they finally made it through the house, echo yelled “thank g o d”. everyone then made fun of him for being so relived it was over bc “awww was echo scared?”
(later, late at night in the maurader, echo would think back to the memories of the haunted house and smile.
it was one of the last times they were all together.)
Tup: of all the ghosts and vampires and werewolves and assorted monsters, nothing scared Tup more than zombies. He hates the idea of these shells of humans just mindlessly killing without realizing what they’re doing (haha ironic)
also they’re gross. like. e w
so when a zombie popped out around from the corner, Tup screamed so loudly the cast memeber found him later and apologized.
he had a little pumpkin hair pin in his bun, and by the end of the crazy night, it was barley hanging onto one of the many curls that came loose from the rest.
Jesse: is a BABY. he screams at everything. at first no one really knows if he’s being silly or actually scared at first, but then he grabs Rex’s arm after a zombie popped out of a door in the floor, and Fives had never laughed harder. he isn’t sure w h y it’s so scary but he doesn’t vibe with it at all.
after it all, he laughs about it and he’d definitely go again, but he was scared out of his armour during the actual experience.
Hevy: is one of the ghosts (aha get it? bc he’s d-)
Rex (dad): no joke, his troopers called him dad a few times on this trip a l o n e (and then immediately blushed as rex hooked his elbow around their neck and gave them a noogie).
he foils five’s plans of scaring him (by scaring him back).
jesse grabbed his arm in fear once. they never spoke of it again. jesse he screamed bc he saw the head of a cast member poking their head out of the floor. rex didn’t have the heart to tell him it was a space-pumpkin.
he would just say “hi” in a deadpan voice when something scary happened. it was actually to try and hide his actual fear, bc rex is jumpy as all kriff, but his troopers don’t need to know that.
after wards, he bought everyone some space-milkshakes (they were dexter’s blue milkshakes of course 😌)
Kix (mom): Is fretful. He brings bandaids because “what if you get scared and jump and you fall and skin your knees.” or “what if a weirdo snuck in and dressed up like a monster but is actually going to stab us.” to which fives said “bandaids aren’t going to help much with stab wound.”
kix also brought snacks and space-apple juice (made from some of the apples his general and commander picked) in his mom backpack. Surprisingly, he wasn’t scared by any of the scares in the actual house because “seeing Fives and Hardcase do half of the things they do on a daily basis is scarier than a dude in a sheet jump out from around a corner.”
Hardcase: when the cast members scream at him, he screams back. everyone loses their minds the first time it happens, and it just gets funnier every time. Fives finds this especially hilarious. Rex scolds him, but eventually gives up (he actually finds it really funny). at one point he sees a werewolf and just
barks at him
(fives is crying with laughter at this point. echo got it all on camera.)
wolffe finds about about this and is so proud of his chaos brother.

This building opened as a hotel in the 1960s. Soul singer James Brown bought it and renamed it the James Brown Motor Inn in 1970. Eventually it was converted into a nursing home, the first of it’s kind in the country to accept patients with AIDS. Eventually the property became abandoned and fell into decay. In 2015 work began to covert it into housing.
