Hounds don't own many things, that comes with the territory of being primarily a weapon of war. Being a Handler's pet is a close second, and being remotely human lands at a distant fourth. Occasionally, a hound is able to buy or acquire things for themselves, and they cherish these acquisitions like no other. A major subject to these behaviors is plushies, which not only serve as something the Hound can cherish but also a companion for them in those restless nights in their barely inhabitable barracks. Something noteworthy is the Barrack Leader owns more plushies out of any Hound, despite having the exact same income. It's most probable that these more dominant Hounds take the companions from their original owners after making them submit. A common Hound belief is to turn their plushies away from themselves, as it appears to make their dominants less likely to steal them. Chances are the Barracks Leader likes the implied submission that a poorly-hidden or obscured plushie represents more than actually possessing that plushie. Handlers also participate in this ritual. While nominally to affirm their dominance at the top of the Hound's pecking order, there's a suspicious link between the affection a Handler shows and the amount of plushies they will demand from that Hound, regardless of success rates or any other metric. That being said, no Hound still operational has stolen a plushie from her Handler. None that will admit to it, anyways.
