man it's like . i understand why reading tlg might make some people hate on hayden and jj. however, reading tlg just made me hate the entirety of tlg, so. it's just not real to me. it's simply bad. it's a bad book that does massive disservices to just about every character with a significant role in it. shane gets hatecrimed, ilya is a horrible partner, hayden is incoherent, and jj doesn't comprehend the concept of outing people being bad, like. oh my god. it's not real to me, and i simply want shane hollander to have good friends, so i'm doing that.

what makes me so irritated towards characters in warriors is that a lot of the characterization that paints them as assholes would go so hard if any of it was allowed to be acknowledged as wrong in universe

Hot take but I don't think Padme and Anakin were actually that bad at hiding their relationship in general I think that we as the audience are just given a biased view of their relationship from the outside so that we're more likely to want for their happy ending even though we know they can't have it

#star wars #anidala #yes i still think they took some unnecessary risks and were careless at times but i dont think it was like that most of the time #i think we're just given more of those moments because it highlights that that they love each other enough to take risks and those moments #are designed to pull at our heart strings as an audience #as ive rewatched some stuff it does feel like theres a lot that happens especially in ep. II for the plot (derogatory)#and i think this is part of it like yeah i know the end of the story is already written so there was a lot of having to write around it to #to make the stories work together but i also dont feel like this was always accomplished in the best way #i think theres some instances of sacrificing characterization because of it #like sure palpatine needed to know about anakin and padme in order to exploit their relationship for his gain #and drag anakin to the dark side but i also think it makes for a far more compelling story if anakin and padme were really good at hiding #their relationship because it shows a deeper betrayal on palptatines part to exploit that it shows how much time anakin is spending with hi #how well palpatine knows padme and i think it could have been more interest to see him figure it out for himself slowly because they were s #good at hiding it.#i wont be changing my mind about this either they were actually really good at hiding it we just get to see it cause were the audience #more migraine fueled hot takes for you #i think the pain lowers my inhibitions or something because i feel like recenrly ive most of my rants like yhis have been migraine fueled
