Three months in the making (including a whole lotta weeks of redesign and self-deprecation) but it’s DONE.
This is the first of a three-piece fanart for Over the Garden Wall, dedicated to my favorite characters. This one is the Cloud Queen.
It was a serious labor of love! I wasn’t sure what to do with her dress, as it translated into a pretty flat little thing from the original design... so I decided, screw it, let’s go full (customized) 18th century.
Personally my favorite part is the crown, I think I gave it a good shine! At first I had a bit of difficulties making it look like that cloud sat on it, but I like how it turned out.
I’d like to thank Jyundee for her wonderful tutorial on digital painting, it was crucial in the creation of this piece.
Done in MedibangPaint with a teensy bit of Photoshop.
Prints available upon order!
A couple wips for Over the Garden Wall fanart - Beatrice the Bluebird and the Cloud Queen.
If they come out good enough and people get interested in this little wimpy art blog I might do prints in the future...
