Just read a Bob Floyd fic where reader, who is Bob’s girlfriend, meets the daggers for the first time, and they’re all surprised that she’s with shy Bob, and she’s like “what? Shy Bob? He’s so outgoing back home” then she says something about him doing body shots and he drags her away to the bathroom and fucks her and he’s like a huge Dom, and mad because she was embarrassing him, anyways, all I can think of is Bob Floyd with alter-ego Rhett Abbott, like that’d be so hot, like maybe it’s like a middle name or something, idk but like it’s actually Bob, just another side of Bob, but it’s still who he is, you know? He just, like, separates himself into ‘quiet, shy, boring’ work Bob, and then ‘crazy, bull-riding, getting into fights’ Rhett. God, I’ve read the best Bob x reader x Rhett stories but this concept is getting to me, like, I don’t write but I’m thinking about doing it just so I can get this because it’s stuck in my head and I think it would be brilliant. Oh, and like the team would somehow see Bob as ‘Rhett’ and be in total shock, like seeing him at a rodeo, riding the bull, just doing very ‘not-Bob’ stuff.
I don’t know, I just had this little add-on idea to a one shot I was reading, and went ‘this needs to be a reality’
Edit:
I forgot to mention, he’d still have Rhett’s tattoos, and the daggers would see them sometime after or during they’re finding out about his ‘Rhett’ ego. His hat and those tattoos, dude, that’ll kill me.
The thought of hangster being so possessive over eachother before they’re even dating (or getting back together if you believe the exs trope).
Bradley unplugging the jukebox and dragging Jake over to the piano with him right when he starts dancing with a stranger, smiling to himself as he watches the stranger mope away and find someone else to ogle at.
Jake noticing Bradley getting stares from other people at the hard deck and leaning in to talk to him over the music, making sure it looks far to romantic so nobody thinks they’d even have a chance with Bradley.
Bradley watching Jake play pool when someone comes over to him and asks if the “hot blonde guy winning at pool is single” and Bradley telling him to get lost, and that Jake’s never gonna be interested in someone like him.
Jake watching as girls throw themselves at Bradley, and Bradley nicely trying to reject them before Jake steps in with the loudest ‘he said he’s not interested’ voice he’s had to do since his sisters were in their teens.
They don’t care that they’re obvious anymore. Nobody is good enough for them except each other.
thank you for the tag, @smallangrychildbean !!<3
(and sorry to all the people who've tagged me in the past weeks but i missed it *hides*)
since the majority of you voted for the married but broken up hangster ft. an alive wife montage in my poll yesterday - there you go! for context: the's a party, there are daggers and there is CHAOS, enojy

“Hey, Rooster, where do you keep your pot mats?” Mickey asks. He’s giving final stirs to the paella.
“Bottom drawer.”
“Got it.” He salutes with the spoon and takes a dive inside the drawer. “Wait. Are those Longhorns coasters?”
Bradley’s head snaps up to him.
“Uhm-” he fumbles for words, not sure how to answer that question. Those most certainly are Longhorns coasters. Mickey’s holding three of them up and from the corner of his eye, Bradley can see the Daggers’ heads turning. Welp. No one said erasing your past marriage was an easy task. “Yeah, I guess they are.”
“Read out the captions,” Jake demands, leaning back in his seat. He pops another chip in his mouth as if he doesn’t have a care in the world. Bradley sees it for what it is: well-practiced bravado.
“In this house, we have long horns,” Mickey reads and the Daggers erupt in snorts and laughter.
“Those are horrendous,” Bradley groans and rubs a palm down his face.
“Those are hilarious!” Jake counters, going through yet another pile of bright orange merchandise. His very own orange cap is sitting backwards on his head so there’s nothing to hide the delighted glint in his eyes. Under the fluorescent lights of the gas station, they look seafoam green.
“No, Jake. They’re horrendous,” Bradley repeats as he fishes out another monstrosity of a coaster. You make me long-horny, it says. It just proves Bradley’s point.
“What can I tell ya? Everything’s bigger in Texas,” Jake says and winks. The Casanova smile he gives Bradley doesn’t quite match the boyish strands of hair that the cap flattens out on his forehead.
They’re in the middle of nowhere, Texas. It’s rare that their leaves overlap so they’re using the time to visit Jake’s family. And they’ve got a game to catch later so they should probably hurry. But Jake doesn’t seem in a rush as he twists a coaster that says, Keep calm and hook (up with) ‘em, in his hand. “We need those.”
“We need a divorce is what we need,” Bradley murmurs as he extends the arm holding a shopping basket so that Jake can put the coasters in.
“Aw, babe,” Jake croons, suddenly in his space. Bradley looks sideways. The cashier is pretending to be minding his own business. Good. DADT might’ve been repealed and gay marriage might’ve been legalized, but Bradley doesn’t trust Texas just yet. Not like he trusts Jake, who’s managed to slide his hands under the lapels of Bradley’s shirt. “You don’t want me to keep calm and hook up with you?”
“It’s not a hookup if we’re married,” Bradley deadpans.
“We could pretend to be strangers.” Jake’s thumb slips under Bradley’s tank and grazes the skin on his hip. Bradley holds his stance, unwilling to give in to Jake’s charm so soon. “Meet at a bar. I could teach you line-dancing…” His voice is low and seductive, and Bradley’s starting to break out in goosebumps, slowly goes weak in the knees. “...buy you a drink, show you my horn-”
He shoves Jake off him.
“You’re losing your game, Hangman.”
“But I’ve already won you.” Jake smiles sweetly, falsely, bats his long eyelashes, and saunters off to the rack with bio foods, Longhorns merch long forgotten. “My chickpea.”
And Bradley sighs because what else can he do? He pays for the two bags of pretentiously expensive banana chips and the coasters, and follows Jake to the parking lot. And if he’s also wearing an orange jersey to match Jake’s, it’s between him and the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
On leave, once Jake decided to grow a mustache. Bradley and the others were still deployed on carriers, and when they got back, several things happened while Jake was waiting to greet them.
Javy stopped dead in his tracks to stare
Natasha refused to make eye contact
Bob may or may not have cried
Mickey made a gagging noise
Reuben snapped a photo to send to the others
and Bradley, Bradley walked right past him, not realizing it was Jake in his sleep-deprived state
He turns to the others when he doesn't see his husband and asks if they have seen Jake. The group points to Jake standing there, and when Bradley's eyes land on him, the silence is palpable. He just stares at his husband, and slowly, a look Nat has only seen once crosses Bradley's face. It's a cross between Bradley's resting bitch face, disgust, and horror. Still no one says anything till they hear the voice of Mav.
"Ice, look, Bradleys making the face." The others look up to see Mav and his husband. They are still getting used to Ice being married to Mav, and it's hard for them not to salute. Mav makes it over and sees why Bradley is making a face, and he two makes a face. Poor Jake did not expect this reaction. Ice in his infinite wisdom
"Kid, you might want to rethink the facial hair. This reaction is worse when Slider tried to pull off a mustache." Jake just nods. Slowly, the group disperses, and when Jake and Bradley get home Bradley went right upstairs. He came right back down with a razor and pushed Jake into the bathroom.
Only after he shaved it off would Bradley kiss him.
After the Mission, Mav and the Daggers are leaving a diner close by after going out to eat food that is not a military planned meal. As they are walking and talking heading back towards the nearby Bradshaw residence, a car pulls up next to them and a man jumps out. All if the daggers watch shocked and horrified as Mav is snatched up by a tall man, wearing aviator sunglasses and a suit, and faster than they can identify the man, Mav tossed into the rear seats of the car while the tall man jumps into the drivers side slamming both doors shut and revving the engine. Rooster and Hangman immediately begin running towards the car as it speeds away shouting after it.
