Mystery/Thriller Monday
And I thought that the Commuter Rail making me 15 minutes late to my school interview was bad (‘track updates’ back in the early aughts, had to jump in a bus). In this novel, there are six students going for the same full ride scholarship. Then… there are five after the one that everyone thinks will get the scholarship dies unexpectedly. Oh, and, then those five students find that they’re stuck in the building together.
Locked room mystery with a side of escape room here I come. When I read the blurb I was sorta like, “yeah, but, they could do this or that or this other thing to get out”, but, the author nicely accounted for that. The characters were amazing too. Each of the students super unique from the others. A really dark, but really fun read.
