Shiromori's other purposes, I guess is a mystery...
Good look daddy, Happy B-day Bonsai girl🌸🌟
I want you by my side.
"You're taking Advanced Potions and Advanced Defense? Are you mad?" Thatcher rolled her eyes, positive she knew what was going to come out of her best friend’s mouth next. "In fact, the only thing you're not taking this year is Astronomy. What the hell?"
"Aurors don't need Advanced Astronomy, Catherine. Hate to break it to you."
"How in the world has this Gryffindor managed to sneak in amongst our ranks?" Catherine teased, speaking louder so their fellow Ravenclaws could hear. They all gave a good-hearted laugh.
The blonde poked her in the side, smirking. "You know I bleed blue. I'd just rather look up and admire the stars rather than study them."
"But you study everything."
"Then just be glad I won't be there to wreck the curve, eh?" That earned her another laugh. Having spent six years already with this group of students, she knew that none of them meant anything by the gentle ribbing but it was moments like these, as they all gathered their things to go to said Astronomy lecture, that she felt the separation between them. Her afternoon would be spent amongst other seventh year Gryffindors and Slytherins in Defense Against the Dark Arts. She said a few quiet goodbyes before putting her own messenger bag over her shoulder and heading towards the third floor.
This would be her first class with Professor Lupin. She’d only seen him from a distance as he sat at the Head Table but he looked young. That would hopefully bode well for his classes. A fresh approach to teaching the subject might be exactly what she needed. Defense had always been her favorite class but hardly her best -- if she wanted to get accepted into the Ministry’s Auror training program, that would have to change.
She took an empty seat near the front of the room next to one of the Gryffindors she’d gotten familiar with. Though she’d beaten Lupin to class, she was one of the latter students; it seemed she wasn’t the only one excited. Parchment and then quill were retrieved from her bag before setting it down on the ground by her chair. She scratched the date at the top, taking a few moments to breathe and try to calm her excitement before the man himself showed up. No need to seem overeager.
