i think. maybe nikita got sent on a solo mission, or mat just couldnt make it or gave up on getting everyone free while being in danger themselves. maybe it was an impulse mission, not assigned by the SAE??

So Tana and Rosanna are fine in my book because from what we know, they were in Hell and for some reason The Cosmic Sphere didn’t help them. Pandora’s Box is said to contain all the world’s evils so I could see Tana and Rosanna being in the box because the box IS Hell.

I agree I think Nikita and Jojo are simply alive and enter the box, although 1. I do think the idea of Nikita Matt and Joey being fired from the SAE for the mission going so wrong is a fun idea. Nikita knows about the box because surely Colleen and Bretman told her so maybe she goes in with Jojo of her own volition without SAE resources. Although in season 4 the only other person we see open the box gets Gorgon-ed so who knows.

The real mystery here is Manny. The cosmic sphere released his soul presumably to a nice afterlife idk why he’s here anymore. Not to say I’m not glad to have him but I hope we get a cool answer and not some hand waved bullshit

Tutor

So, a while back I commissioned CrysIS for a School Caste AU. And this is the absolute unit of a treasure that was birthed from that.

Yes, Kristina is the one that's being tutored. Yes, that goofy birthday boy in the background is, indeed, the tutor.

I'VE GOT MY SCHOOL CASTE LORE IN THE WORKS. And it does start with them being practically strangers, which unlike my Canon AU, one of them is at least aware of the other's existence.

She's in the library, trying to figure out her calculation subjects because she sucks at it. Has the formula written down but does not understand. Reiner who happens to pass by hears the grumbling and just out of no where begins to explain the logic behind the math. Kristina's like, "What?" because she doesn't know him. And he's like... he pulls up a chair and continues to explain. At some point, he's like, "can't believe the day would come when I'd come across a nerd who can't compute." And she responds with, "well, I can't believe a jock can."

Taking slight offense, he lectures her about not stereotyping, and she stares at him, and he goes, "Oh." because he did just that. So he apologizes and offers to tutor her. She agrees because she needs to pass. And that was the start of their friendship. Kristina MAY OR MAY NOT have been adopted by the football team like she's some kind of mascot. xD

Queer Reads: Tal Bauer

To conclude the hockey portion of our programming, I bring you the most yearning-ful author yet: Tal Bauer. 

Baurer writes a variety of genres in the romance world, from sports romances to political thrillers, but one thing that he has in common with all of his books is the feels. I think I’ve teared up reading every single one of his books. His characters are great, his writing is great, and the emotional turmoil is top notch. 

The first four books are his sport romances. The two football books are connected, and focus on college football in Texas. The hockey books are also connected, and focus on the best pro hockey team, Montreal, in the first book, and the worst hockey team, Colorado, in the second book. My only beef with the Colorado book is that it’s set in Boulder instead of Denver, but as Bauer is clearly not from here, he can be forgiven. These books have all of the feels, just constantly, and you def want to read the warning labels on all of them, but particularly The Rest Of The Story. 

The next four books are actually all one story, and should be read all together, binged over a long week of doing nothing but reading these books. Our two MCs are the president of the United States and the head of his Secret Service, and it’s so good. There’s political intrigue, there’s international politics, there’s a fantastic cast of side characters. There’s also two more books after this series that focus on a set of the side characters, and I haven’t read it because I haven’t been in the right emotional state to subject myself to that amount of the feels. 

And then there’s the last four books, which are a duo, and then two unconnected books, but what they have in common is the law enforcement characters. The Murder Between Us and The Grave Between us is about two FBI agents, one who profiles serial killers. Hell and Gone is set in the wild mountains of Montana, and Never Stay Gone is set in small town Texas. There’s murder and mystery and hot spice in all of them. Also, a lot of yearning. 

Check out Tal Bauer if you’d like to get your feelings hurt or to have a good cry. There’s happily ever afters for all of these, but jeez do the characters go through it.
