you know what i want? confirmation of how old everybody was when john reset the world.
i tend to default to picturing them as all about the same age (in the like 35-45 range) but like. okay. follow me here.
g1deon and john were childhood friends, right? they grew up together. and i know that unlikely friendship duos can form between kids with a disparity in age, but the fact that they at least were children at the same time implies that they were within five years of each other at the absolute maximum. and in all likelihood the gap was even smaller than that.
but then. pyrrha. i'm fairly certain they literally never explain how pyrrha and gideon became friends. like ever at any point. she says at one point that she "loved him on sight," and john says that by the time they were working on the cryo project, g– already couldn't choose between john and p–, which implies that a longstanding and intimate friendship already existed by that point. beyond this, nothing. i mean, their careers are about as disparate as it's possible to be. g– was an aeronautical engineer and p– was a cop. she also canonically didn't do any higher education. to me, this implies that they maybe met as teenagers, that they were also some form of childhood friends. maybe.
but augustine says that pyrrha was "ten years [his] senior."
so here's my question: are john, gideon, and pyrrha all in the same age group, which is significantly (in mortal years) older than augustine? or was g– once like. a college freshman who ended up inexplicably ride-or-die with a random cop in her thirties.
