hi i’m reading in the publication order and the website has all of the books in the series laid out but this one just says “ghosts of the shadow market” which i’m like 90% sure means that i just read that whole series normally before chain of gold

but like i still need some reassurance 😭 so can someone please confirm this??

okay i know i'm late on reading this BUT

why do some of the warlocks in better in black not have four letter surnames??

i thought that was a thing like magnus BANE, ragnor FELL, catarina LOSS, malcom FADE, tessa GRAY (and yes i know Tessa's birth name is gray but i'm sure that it was mentioned that it was a good coincidence because warlocks pick four letter names)

i'm confused but also i've only read the sizzy wessa and clace stories so far (it's been a busy year, okay?)

am i being dense or is this geniunely a weird thing?

Finished up Mortal instruments and the Red Scrolls of Magic and I’m currently on Clockwork Princess. I love the Infernal Devices so much I wish we got more of it. 🥺🥺😍

Next up is a reread of The Bane Chronicles because I need more Magnus Bane in my life.

You know, ever since I read the Infernal Devices I've been a Jem Carstairs kind of girl (though I did love Will, don't get me wrong).

But I feel like Chain of Thorns may have finally turned me into a Will Herondale girl. I don't know. I may finally love him just as much as everyone else has all these years.

I mean, I've always loved Will. But not to the level of people who were like, "every time Will is mentioned in books post-The Infernal Devices, I cry," but I might finally be there.

Maybe, really, I just love both of them at this point. Maybe I'm just Tessa. LOL

I'm also just... so glad that Will and Jem are parabatai--the best parabatai the series has ever seen still--and that Will, Jem, and Tessa just all love each other so much.

Ok so I have a theory for TWP.

So, Cassie said that 'at the end of twp, the shadowhunter world will change in a very major way forever'.

I think that maybe somehow the shadow world delvers will probably manage to defeat Lilith and close the rift that was the cause of demon invasions and it'll also cause all of the shadow world to vanish. Not in a bad way but like everyone will turn normal.. like mundanes or something.

Oh my Gods y'all, Malec would totally be that couple...

The ones who go all moony- eyed when they're talking about each other; while it's adorable and sweet, it can often get in the way of doing things: Alec was walking down the hallways of the institute, Jace walking briskly by his side, when Jace made the mistake of asking how magnus was doing. By the time they'd stepped out into the grounds of the institute, Jace had gained enough knowledge to write Magnus's biography- he knew about his favourite flower, how adorable he looked with Max in his arms, and how Rafe had come close to stabbing him when they were sparring.

Jace got fed up enough that he walked away halfway through a battle with a couple of demons (it wasn't anything Alec couldn't handle), and Alec, too lovestruck to pay much attention, didn't even notice his absence until he started his walk back to the institute. Jace had stolen his stele too. Ass.

They always have to be touching each other - after they had settled into their roles of most famous celebrities of the shadow world, they were comfortable enough to allow PDA in front of, well, pretty much everyone.

Now, while this sounds cute and intimate, it can get rather awkward and irritating for... well, literally everyone else ...

Once, they had stayed over at some or the other institute for a night. The owners happened to be homophobic. In the morning, when they were all in the dining area for breakfast, Alec, exhausted from the mission, made it a point to sit on Magnus's lap. Magnus put his arms around Alec's waist, giving him a small kiss on his forehead. The wizened old woman, one of the occupants of the institute, gasped audibly and pointed with a wrinkled finger across the table at them. Unbothered, they ate breakfast in silence. They were, frankly, too tired to care. The other occupants were also slightly slack-jawed at the public display, but after the second or third day, they all got used to it. The old woman still nearly went into cardiac arrest when she stumbled upon them making out in a hallway, though.
