Okay MASSIVE SPOILERS for Long Live Evil and such!!

But so, Theory I have that I’m most likely wrong about but cant stop thinking:

Okay so the Emperor’s whole thing is that Lia dies and he goes on a whole killing spree in his grief of her. He is supposed to rip people’s hearts out and lay waste to the world. But he didn’t fall in love with Lia, he fell in love with Rae. And obviously Rae can’t die, at least not like that. At least I hope not, tho it’d certainly be quite the twist.

But what if Sarah Rees Brennan, in all her wicked villainy, was just cruel enough to kill Key again. What if the entire second book or most of it is Key and Rae actually somehow falling truly in love with each other again, but the Key dies. And in RAE’S grief and despair over his death, she becomes the Evil Queen that kills everyone and lays waste to the world. Like say in Theory that Marius and Eric (could be anyone, they are just the placeholder) kill Key, and Rae tricks and schemes them until she puts a sword through Marius’s heart, and she says the line “Now you know how it feels.”.

And then, just as Rae hopes at the beginning of Long Live Evil that the Emperor will revive his dead queen in the book, the Queen revives her dead Emperor and after all the shits gone down and some other stuff possibly happens, we get whatever happy ending this could lead to with all the tragedy.

Idk, it’s a theory, and idk how good it is even, but thats where my brain is at. Maybe in a week I’ll look at this and go “wow that was really stupid” lmao

Edit onto this that I just thought of after posting:

WHAT IF IT IS STILL LIA THAT DIES??? BECAUSE RAE LOVES HER. What if Key kills Lia and Rae becomes the Queen that fights the Emperor!!! And the scene with the Flower of Life and Death that is Alice’s favorite will be Rae reviving Lia!!! Rae would end the world for Lia, even more so if Alice somehow gets transported into the story. 1000% percent. And Key’s line for “Now you know how it feels” will be him killing Lia in front of Rae.

Thank you!!! Forgive me for asking so much! How did Marco become the gang leader? What type of person was he? What did the gang do? Thief? Murder? Drugs?

Of course, I adore answering questions that you all may have! I don't mind at all the quantity-- I just apologize if it takes me a bit to answer them.

Marco became the Gang Leader after the first one died-- he was next in line, as the leader then had appointed him as such, and he didn't back down when he was challenged. He may have come out of the said fight with a couple of broken bones and a scar to show for it, but he got the Vipers.

He wasn't a person that was easily approachable-- at least from an outsider's perspective, but to the Vipers he was a man that you could go to whenever you needed to vent your problems. He may not react that much, but he'd always be willing to give you the advice you needed to hear. Even if it simply was him saying: "You're being a fucking dumbass. Get your head out of your ass and maybe your problems would start to disappear."

The Vipers do a bit of everything-- thievery, murder, and drugs, are all things that they have done, but only when the price is right and when it suits the code of conduct that the Vipers uphold. Which is mainly don't sick them on innocent individuals just for kicks (someone did that and ended up regretting it). Of course, individual Vipers can get independent work, but they know that if something happens you have to deal with the consequences of it.

Description: Darzi has deep tanned skin, accented by shoulder length messy brunette hair. His towering stature is covered in rough, scarred, and calloused skin. His eyes mutated, replaced with those of a viper.

Darzi's grew up in a small hovel within the sands of California. Raised by his mother and grandmother, both preistesses of the Great Pit Viper. They loved Darzi with all they had. Believing him to be sent to restore his tribe to its rightful glory. He trained from dusk till dawn, his mother injecting him with "sacred serpent venom". It racked his body with pain nearly killing him almost every time it was administered. However Darzi developed an immunity to the toxic substance and most other creatures venom, as well as making the pains of battle a second thought. It was during his teenage years that these treatments caused him to have visons of a great serpent. It called to him, beckoning Darzi to seek justice, seek power, seek a nest for his restored tribe. As his strength grew his mind deteriorated slightly, the visions were almost constant, his speech becoming a low whispering hiss. Once he came of age and burying what little family he had Darzi collected what was left of his childhood home and began his journey.
