Some very late little drawings I did of Munchkin & Winkie fashion (I also have two more on Gillikan and Quadlings but it’s been a while since I’ve posted so I figured I’d get these two out first :) )
I like to draw the muchkins as having an eclectic yet humble kind of aesthetic for the clothing cuts; very handmade, chaotic and asymmetrical. A lot of colour is used in place of any neutrals (ie no whites, blacks or greys) the only time I tend to use white for them are for ‘important’ outfits like heirloom peices, wedding attire or government uniform. Mismatched in the best way most outfits from here have clashing colours and patterns that just seem to work, with everything having a strong earthy/floral theme.
Meanwhile with the Vinkus I tend to draw for more of a medieval, royalty kind of aesthetic, and have some inspiration from historical Samoan clothing/art aswell with their patterns and iconography. They are a bit harder to design for since we see so much less of them (bar Fiyero) in the wicked universe where I am mainly drawing from, so I just kinda went wild. I lent a lot more into that fairy tale kind of aesthetic for them, very Snow White, medieval with some of that Oz camp to it.
Hope yall like :)
