Daredevil, Beast, Quicksilver!!!!
Daredevil: What is something others see as a weakness, but you know to be a strength?
Oh, man, good question; more often, it’s the other way around. I guess I’m lucky in that I don’t spend much time around people who think I’m weak. *u* Probably the closest thing to the intent of this question would be writing fanfiction -- I know a lot of literary folks who would think it’s a waste of time, but I feel like writing fic has helped me grow in directions I wouldn’t have necessarily gone in as a writer.
I’m just gonna list five of the faves on my bookshelves right now in no particular order: In The Bleak Midwinter, Julia Spencer-Fleming; Night of the Living Trekkies, Kevin J. Anderson; World War Z, Max Brooks; Kushiel’s Dart, Jacqueline Carey; The Unthinkable, Amanda Ripley.
Quicksilver: Who do you feel protective toward?
My female friends and acquaintances, particularly (but not exclusively) the ones who are younger than me. I get really angry on other women’s behalf when people in their life do things that I feel are unfair, or mean, or inconsiderate. If I were more of a punchy person, I would punch a lot of people for treating my friends badly. That’s not to say that I don’t get angry when male friends of mine are treated badly; I just hear about it a lot less often.
