Lan Xichen basically travelled back in time from Guanyin Temple, so he was in an emotionally fraught place and ready to Go Off™ and it was absolutely beautiful to read him shredding the Jins to pieces. Excerpt: Jin ZiXun was speaking again. “The Jin Sect and the Lan Sect have always been like one family. We’re all the same. My two Lan brothers, if you don’t drink this, you’d be looking down on me!” Lan XiChen liked to think himself mild-mannered. All his life he’d tried to live by the rules, thinking discipline and self-control would keep him from making the same mistakes his father had made. But looking at Jin GuangYao, he realized he’d been so wrong. A sudden fury overtook him. His smile, still on his face even after dying, hardened. “Are you not looking down on us?” A hush fell over the room. “You say we are like family. Yet you dare ask us to discard our principles, the very foundations of the Lan Sect, to satisfy your pride.” “Arrogance is forbidden,” WangJi helpfully added. Lan XiChen had not expected him to be sitting here at his side. The last time he had seen him, WangJi had been on the other side of the coffin, one hand reaching for him, naked desperation on his face. Now, his face was carefully neutral. He looked so much younger, happier, free of the burden of decade-long sorrow. Sorrow that Lan XiChen had helped put there. He'd made so many mistakes.

Dee’s thoughts - Lan Xichen snapping is always so satisfying. I like this short oneshot, it’s a very quick and easy read. Wangxian are briefly there and they’re, as always, cute. Salty and would recommend

Ju’s thoughts - This is a very short fic where after Jin Guangyao tries to kill Lan Xichen, he travels back to the moment Wei Wuxian appears at the banquet asking about Wen Ning. But this time, like the summary says, Lan Xichen goes Off, and it’s good. Lan Xichen has thoughts about things that he let happen to keep peace, or because he believed in the wrong people, but this time, things will change. I really like his POV, and the way he thinks about how things went in his life, about Nie Mingjue and Jin Guangyao, about the first siege of the Burial Mounds and the Wens. (and it’s a little salty)

you’re right about that! as for my favorites right now....

i just found Ingrid St-Pierre, she has a beautiful, sweet voice and some of her songs are quite whimsical. i liked Ficelles and Pâtes au Basilic (that one is really fun). Les ex is beautiful.

Another favorite of mine is Zaz, her entire Recto Verso album is great. 

Our french exchange student recommended La Vague by Yseult to me and it is on like all of my playlists now!! That, and Dernière Danse by Indila, too.

Boggie is a Hungarian singer, but I’ve come across two songs of hers in french: Un an à Paris and Nouveau Parfum. Be careful because the hungarian version (Parfüm) is exactly the same with different lyrics so make sure you’re downloading the right one! Or download both like I did because they’re both great. :)

I share your opinion on real-life shipping (brolin in this context), but I was wondering what caused you to post it. I checked out the hashtag 'AskBradley', and okay, there were a few invasive questions, and people not to subtle asking after Colin, but it didn't seem so bad (of course, I didn't read all the Q's - there's a bit too much). It seems to me that there were a few people who crossed a line, but all in all, it could've been a lot worse, no?

Well, to be honest, it was a combination of things. For a long while, some of the more blatant Brolin posts have bothered me... The kind where people will take an innocent comment made by one of them and add a crass Brolinish comment for fun. (So like, if Colin would say something about needing to go home early from something, the comment might be something like "Yes Colin, run home to your man..." The "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" mentality of it; the "it's not a big deal" excuses of it just has always felt invasive to me, especially where Colin is so intensely private about his personal life. Add that to a slew of reblogs of the photoset of Colin and Bradley at Hamlet with comments and/or tags that made assumptions about the outing being a date. Add to that the sheer number of inappropriate Ask Bradley questions, and that really was what set me off. FYI, I went on to Bradley's twitter and started counting the number of comments that were about Colin, the Merlin show, or questions asked as a method of trapping him into answers that would verify a relationship. I just went onto Bradley's thread. I can't get all the comments/to load properly, but the partial list I got to pull up had over twenty questions. The tweeting of Bradley directly was really the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. And, I suppose you could argue that 20 or 30 inappropriate comments isn't as bad as it could be, but it's still not good.
