What's so interesting about the study of human behavior is that it would appear that we unconsciously take on the characteristics of so many of the creatures we happen to share this planet with. I think of the lemming. We are special in that we have the ability to conduct logical reasoning and critical thinking inside our minds. But if an individual chooses to dismiss the one conclusive trait that separates us from all other animals then they are in all sense of the term a dumb animal. A mammal walking on two feet.
That being said it still isn't difficult in the slightest to find compassion for these creatures. Why have I chose this study? It could've been fish. Or birds. I could've been an ornithologist. Can't believe I spelled that right. Instead I chose people. I think it's because deep down I truly do believe that we can grow into something more than we are currently. The same can not be said with any other animal. Not from what I've observed. Not to the same degree at least. But this fight has been going on for how long? Long before I ever came into existence. The Christ figure. Whom I continue to compare myself to. I wonder. How similar were his thoughts next to mine? I know that I am pure. What I don't know is that I am purely good. But who said God is supposed to be? Trying to stay away from breaking down the definition of good, in contrast to evil. Conway truly has said it best. Do whatever you want to yourself. Do whatever you want to other people as long as there is consent from said people. And that's morality in a nutshell.
That's too cookie cutter for me. It bores me. Which is why I'm James Kirk and he's Spock. Sure his logic might be sound, but the logic doesn't make for that exciting of an experience. And I like discoveries! We have to dig deeper than that in order to satisfy this urge that is within me.
One degree of separation keeps coming to mind. It's strange to contemplate. In some ways it feels as if it's already been accomplished. In fact I know that it has. But it's general now. One individual is the center of the universe. Everyone outside of that individual extends from the center. The people in his/her life represent archetypes. There can be a hundred different archetypes for one individual depending upon how complex the person is. I like complex. In relation to people, I love complexities. They actually kind of turn me on for some reason. But that's another story. So the basic archetypes as we know include, the Mother, the Father, the Teacher, The Friend, The Brother, The Sister, The Lover, The Idol, The Pet, The Boss, The Fan, The Master...I could go on but I shan't. So the individual doesn't stay an individual anymore, he becomes nothing more than an experience. Hmm...an experience of life. An existence. That's not such a bad thing. Especially when we consider that every human has the conscious ability to modulate the "Epicness" of their experience of their own existence. What kind of universe does one want to live in? A boring one? Or a totally cool badass one? Now is when we talk about fear and pre-programming. Which is what prevents most people from fucking with the default settings of their game. Existence is the game. Keep up. The science behind it uses vocabulary like vibratory frequencies and sub-conscious belief systems. This is where I come into play. This is why my story is so crucial to creating that next bump in human evolution.
The one degree of separation can not relate to just humanity. It has to relate to everything...There it is. Let that sink in for a moment. Everything in the universe is connected by the very same threads that connect one human to another. We have the ability to consciously pull on these threads to cause effects in reality. Less science. More epicness. The most powerful being in the universe. In the universe. Is on planet earth. Earth must be treated like a giant sandbox. The largest open-world video game ever conceived of. Some scientologist already made this analogy I believe. But he was a scientologist so who gives a shit what he had to say?...It always comes back to the center. We have to show by your example, that we are all capable of being the most powerful being in the universe. And that can only be shown through...Da, da, da, daaa. Causality. The ripple. The butterfly effect. Whatever you want to call it. Because, we have to keep it based in this reality, otherwise I'm nothing more than a science fiction writer. "Lucy" is science fiction. "Shaun Fury" is speculative fiction. Gives us pause. Makes us think. Most people after finishing the movie "Lucy" got out of their seats threw out their popcorn and made comments about the cool special effects. Some people stated how cool it would be to have 100% of your brain power. The same thing goes for Bradley Cooper's movie "Limitless". But we're smarter now. And we all know that it's bullshit. We know the power lies in self belief. We know it. So how do you express the most powerful being in the universe? Cause and effect. Action and reaction. By doing it this way, we create a human character that lives amongst us. One that not only can be aspired to, but can be reached. Superman came from another planet. Shaun Fury was born on this one. Anything he can do, the rest of the human race can do. The trick lies in self belief........
Which always leads us back to square one. What can you do Shaun Fury? Besides conceptualize profound ideas on the nature of human potential which is all essentially useless. I'm not even sure that movies are relevant anymore. Course, I recently just became a supergenius so I haven't really bothered to ask the normal human their take on film and moviestars in general. There is still an air of worship around celebrities. Which annoys me to no end. Really really bothers me. If I can just execute this concept properly then celebrities will forever be a thing of the past. We have to do it right though. And the unavoidable truth is, Shaun Fury must become a celebrity himself in order to eradicate the notion that celebrities are worth our time, attention and what's worse our minds. And we can't tell a story based in the realm of speculative fiction without having real life events that took place that parallel. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I still have to become a moviestar. Fuck. There's no way around it...It'll give me something to do. Ultimate perfection is the name of the game right?
So many things. So many things I must do. Onward.
