Actors

So we always see appreciation posts for techies, but we never see them for actors. We put just as much work, if not more, into the show. We rehearse for weeks before the techies even begin to build. We stay for 10 hour rehearsals, while they get to leave after 4 hours because they finished building for the day. Granted, I’m not saying techies aren’t important, the show wouldn’t be able to run without them. All I’m saying is please take into consideration how hard actors work. Singing / belting for 10 hours straight, eating dinner on the floor of the theatre lobby, dancing in heels til our knees give out. Actors deserve appreciation too
