★ Have you read #TheBargainer series by @laurathalassa? This is one of the very first series I ever posted about on bookstagram, wayyyy back in 2017. And, if you’ve followed me since then, you know I’m a big fan of not just Laura’s work but her as a human too! She’s one of my favorite authors, and someone I’m glad I can call friend, as well. Dark Harmony was one of the very first books I ever ARC read, the first piece of bookish art I ever bought and hung is a piece featuring Callie and Des, and beta reading the Four Horseman series felt like winning the lottery. It’s been amazing to cheerlead these books and see them find their way into the hands of readers that love them as much as I do. I cried when I got @thebookishbox editions of The Bargainer series in the mail, because I feel immensely connected to and protective over these books. This is everything I could have hoped for, for this series and my friend. 310321 “From flames to ashes, dawn to dusk - until darkness dies. He’s mine, and I’m his, always.” Storytime! So again, last night I’ve finished #darkharmony and with that #thebargainerseries ... and it was like a dream🤍 I think I’m forever chained to these characters. What surprised me is how much inspiration these books gave me. Usually no matter how engaging the story, I can only manage to capture 1-2 moments, but it just kept me coming back and wanting to do more. Although it’s not my first time, this year I’m doing the 365 day challenge again, and whenever I venture down this road I have a different goal in mind while doing it. Last year wasn’t easy for anyone, and I stopped drawing for myself. So this year I wanted to do this to simply make myself happy. That means I will only draw for my own pleasure, and it has nothing to do with exposure, followers, or “demand”. It wouldn’t matter if nobody liked it or if I had 0 followers. That’s said, I’m beyond thrilled that so many people find something valuable in my drawings, be it a feeling, a desired fanart or just something nice to look at. Your comments brighten my days, and your appreciation warms my heart. It fills me with indescribable joy that @laurathalassa likes my fanarts, and I’m so humbled and grateful!
