I walked into an art gallery in Lennox, Mass last fall and came face to face with a framed print of Ormond Gigli’s “Girls in the Windows” and became a bit obsessed was this image. It’s an incredible work of art. I wasn’t familiar with Gigli so I immediately googled him to find out more. Gigli was a photographer for TIME, LIFE and Paris Match. The story behind this image, which was taken in the 60’s, the day before this brownstone was demolished in New York City, is fascinating and speaks to the creativity and vision of this incredible photographer.
