14. Do you lend your books to people? Are people scared to borrow books from you? Do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? Will you ever get them back?
yes, i am a big book lender and receiver — i had to be, especially as a kid, because some books were horribly hard to get where i lived. i don't think people are scared about borrowing from me LMAO i hope i'm a very open, friendly giver
sadly i tend to be the one to hold onto books for longer than the one whose books are "lost." i will give them back. someday.
ON the other hand once when i was in middle school my best friend's dog ate my copy of the murder of roger ackroyd and i can still envision what it looked like when she gave it back, and not that i am keeping track but she has not given me a new copy as she promised...
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends?
i do not write in book margins because, as with notebooks, i'm so scared i will write/highlight something that i then don't want highlighted and ruin the experience of reading for myself forever. i do highlight and annotate ebooks because i'm not doing anything to pixels and digital pages when i do.
i used to dog-ear my books a lot, have gotten out of that habit since i became the primary purchaser of all my books lol. but i have nothing against dog-ears or dog-earers. i too never have a bookmark handy.
i am MASSIVELY pro reading in the bath. anyone who says otherwise is wrong books are for everywhere
so really, i'm very magnanimous about book habits
drop me a number from this!
