Hosea was a very sensitive man who was deeply in love with his wife Gomer. However he experienced the heartbreak of his wife leaving him.

     God’s purpose for this tragic marriage was to confront Israel and their sin of unfaithfulness towards him, their Lord, from leaving the covenant.

HOSEA's message

His message came STRAIGHT from the heart. This is a reason why Hosea is such a unique prophet, because he had his own personal experience and betrayal. The disobedience and broken relationship between 

                                           -Hosea and Gomer- 

                                                        and 

                                              -God and Israel- 

in this story shows how their relationship can be redeemed if they sought to renew their relationship again.

My reflections from playing videogame Zelda BOTW with Zeno and by myself 😀 During Moses time, God may choose a longer path for His children before they can reach their promised land. There were giants around, The Israelites needed to be prepared and equipped (mentally and physically) to defeat the giants in the promised land! In Zelda, Link had to conquer several shrines and climb several towers, explore the wilderness, deserts, mountains, challenges, find stables and villages to rest in, locate treasures, different equipment and clothing before being ready for battle against the boss monster. Same as God’s people needed to equip themselves with experiences of challenges to grow their faith to believe God for victory to conquer and possessed the Promised Land . As Zeno said!
