Hosea' faithful love towards Gomer and the pain felt from her infedility was to convey God's faithfulness and his pain from Israel's waywardness. Despite their unfaithfulness to the covenant, God still loved the people of Israel and yet nonetheless, Israel needed God's initiative to restore their relationship

Hosea was a very sensitive man who was deeply in love with his wife Gomer. However he experienced the heartbreak of his wife leaving him.

     God’s purpose for this tragic marriage was to confront Israel and their sin of unfaithfulness towards him, their Lord, from leaving the covenant.

Sunday blessings, friends! How can I pray for you this week? The week preceding this Memorial Day weekend has been a dark one. Although it is hard to feel hopeful in times like these, our veterans of both freedom and faith serve as examples of the worthy battles we fight to protect the goodness of the souls we are entrusted with. When Gideon spoke these words, he and his nation felt abandoned to the darkness. He asked God why he did not rescue his people from their violent Midianite oppressors as he had in Egypt. But God’s response to him was clear. He was seen. He was not forgotten. And he would soon be endowed with the armor that would bring his people victory. Day 13: The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you Did anyone we know had told us that they’re “always to be with our side”, and suddenly for the reason of conflict or being taken for granted, they’ve left us alone. Those words that we may heard or seen across the social media like “Trust no one (but yourself)”, “Love yourself”, “Leave some love a room for yourself”, or anything that we heard that speaks out about “their” betrayal or taking advantage of our emotionally vulnerable state. We love to do things that would compensate our solitude feelings out of impulsiveness, but at the end, we are broken and hoping in vain. This is not just talking about “love”, but in the friendship levels. However, there’s a one Friend that He is before us and He’s on our side that He would never ever leave us or forsake us - Jesus. Tell Him what are our problems, worries, and everything. And in every situations, He is there and helping us in the times of need and troubles, and there’s nothing we can be afraid of. If we believe that He can do everything by His power and we have a great chance to have a good relationship with Jesus, He is with us and He is a great Friend, though He is God. Though people will leave us, the more important is that He is in our side. Yet we can be His friends if we obey Him and His commandments. While it’s not too late, receive Him.
