who said your lover is not the poison?

who said the punishment is just for the criminal?

who said the sculpture is just for a museum?

love is not a flower that blooms within a night

love is not the moon with its shining stars

love is not as soft as a grain of sand

love is just as hard as a massive rock

You left and left with me your grief

You left me with a poem and a dead leaf

Do you see the eyes you’re afraid of?

Though my curse won’t affect you

why would my eyes affect someone

with such a heart of a stone…..

Narcissist

Sweet smile, devious ways

Always knowing what to say

Didnt care the first time around

Once again, I fell to the ground

Convinced you would change

Your feelings would be rearranged

Your twisted ways consumed me

You only wanted to use me

Poison to the touch

Somehow, couldn't get enough

Makes sense you'd run away

Weren't there in the first place

Broke my wings so you could fly

Didnt even reach the sky

Was it really worth the hurt?

Remaining stuck in the dirt

Was it really worth the pain?

To conjure tricks and games

You'd watch me burn and drown

Never cared to be around

Evil never looked so good

At the time, anything would

I held on, you let go

True colors began to show

Little did I know

That my resentment would grow

Digging deeper but still hollow

Refuse to fall, refuse to wallow

Two faced, caught in a lie

Feeling low, acting high

The truth has been revealed

Makes it easier to heal

Your bitterness only spread

I let it get to my head

But now my sympathy is dead

On my distraught, you fed

Now its time for you to starve

Discovering how deep you can carve

Into my bones, deep in the skin

No more vulnerability within

I am smart, I am strong

Saw who you were all along

Even though it took too long

Not enough to right your wrongs

I'm content, but are you?

Finiding new things to tie me to

No longer yours to control

Loosen your grip, release your hold

This story is getting old

You'll always remain cold

No use to persist

A kind thought didn't exist

So stop trying to resist

The fact that you're a narcissist
