Just finished the mission where sigurd gets taken away. But like... imagine when eivor retells what happened to randvi and mentions the whole “trade our best warrior with each other” part. The amount of fear/worry/relief/guilt. Just like that Eivor would’ve been sent far away for who knows how long, no say in the matter, and Randvi can’t really explain why she’s reacting so strongly. Not out loud anyway. But Eivor wasn’t traded away. She came home like always. But her actual husband is the one who was taken and she can’t help but be relieved that it was him instead and oh how that eats at her

oh god yes, Randvi being relieved that Eivor wasn’t the one traded and the quiet shame that eats at her. Eivor holds her and Randvi is crying but how can she tell Eivor the tears are not for her lost husband but for her love returning when it should have been the other way around? how can she tell Eivor she weeps not for her brother but for herself?

Also, kind of want an AU where it was Eivor who went with Aelfred. Imagine Randvi’s rage, IMAGINE EIVOR’S RAGE. Randvi screaming at him for messing with lives of others. Imagine Randvi demanding Sigurd to go and retrieve his sister, to bring back their best warrior. Imagine Randvi sending word to all of Eivor’s allies and they join with Randvi to free Eivor while turning against Sigurd because lets be honest they all owe their allegiance to Eivor, Sigurd is just a puppet.

Aelfred trying to break down his new heathen warrior, trying to make her christain. Imagine Eivor’s rage when she learns the Saxons’ God does not allow women to love women and men to love men. Imagine her fury when she meets the first homosexual Saxon who has lived in hiding for so long, she’s enraged. How can these Saxons claim to love all of God’s children but then pick and choose who is God’s child? (Sorry I didn’t mean to get religious, I know religion can be difficult for a lot of LGBT people. I apologize if this hurts anyone, that was not my intent it was simply a thought of how Eivor would react to homophobia as she comes from a place who sees it as something odd but not something someone should die for or such)
