Grumbot and Jrumbot are able to move! The Boatem are absolutely swooning when they see Grian with the bots following behind him like little ducklings, and when he shows them the Boatem Hole and says "careful, ducklings, this is unsafe for you" it takes the entire Boatem's combined control to not jump Grian then and there for a cuddle pile.

Also, Scar helping clean the bots of rust and letting them wear his hat!!

Grian was stranded in season 6 for years. He was alone and scared and unable to log off until the hermits found him there. X fixed his code so he could leave as he pleased but grian didn't want to leave his new family.

At first the hermits thought Grian was just so starved for affection that he’d stick with anyone, but no, he really likes them. Especially Xisuma. Oh boy.

So when Mumbo washed up on an island after the boat he was on sank, he was not expecting to find 20+ people already on there. He figured he could just avoid them and try not to catch their attention while he waited to be rescued. That backfired spectacularly and now Mumbo has a group of very affectionate Hermits helping out and teaching him how to actually survive. Now he's thinking that he might not want to leave and the Hermits cuddle piles are kinda nice. But he wouldn't mind if someone could tell him how exactly this all happened.

The hermits seem very welcoming... almost as if they knew Mumbo would be arriving. How did his ship sink again?

Grian and Cleo had both been living alone on their little island for years when the hermits plane crashed, so when they went to fish bodies out of the wreck, they were expecting mostly corpses, not living people who were injured. After a little arguing, they both agreed that keeping them alive would be more useful then just letting Cleo eat them. So the patched the hermits up, and soon grew close to them little by little. Grian was right that keeping the hermits was the best decision, but Cleo would never admit that, not even to all her new partners.

Of course she wouldn’t admit it. People don’t want to hear that the people who rescued them would just as eagerly cannibalize them.

With evil Xisuma stranded in the void a certain watcher may come to rescue him only to find out that EX has become extremely touch starved, Good thing Grian loves cuddles!

Is that why EX is back on hermitcraft?

Due to Doc's latest episode it's Grumbot thought time and he works perfectly for any Stranded Au!!

Grumbot being found by Grian and Mumbo in his current box rather than them building him, and their son being brought to season 8. He's with Jrumbot when they find him again, the two brothers covered in vines as if the lush cave they're in grew around them. They're nervous when they're turned back online, but with a few diamonds it's not long before the two robots are being brought to Boatem. Grumbot helps Grian build while Jrumbot helps Mumbo with replanting. It leaves the other Boatem members swooning over the two Hermits, and the other members do their best to help the two robots be introduced into their society.

How cute! Are they able to move, or still fixed in one place?

Grian had been abandoned in the season six world when they'd discovered him, so he was naturally the one who was most enraged when they found the two new girls abandoned and stranded on the season 8 island, he set out to find the people who abandoned his two new girlfriends, and he's gonna kill those people. You'd expect the others to hold him back, but they're cheering him on.

To be fair, who doesn’t want to see their boyfriend beat up their abuser for their honor?

Scar and Doc hate those stupid hippies and their stupid music and their stupid flower crowns. Meanwhile, Ren, Impulse, and Grian think those two are stuck up and rude. Even being in separate rooms of the same boat is nigh unbearable.

Would be a shame if their boat malfunctioned in the middle of the sea and they were forced to interact more and bond.
