Themis Files is a series I went into knowing very little about it and came out of it loving this series dearly and will forever hold it close to my heart. Sleeping Giants, Waking Gods, and Only Human - three fantastic books that I HIGHLY highly recommend! 🤖 .⠀ I listened to these all as audiobooks and wow - full casts, a different voice for each character! It really feels like I'm listening to a movie or tv show! ⠀ .⠀ So, what is this about? As a child, Rose is riding her bike and falls into a hole in the ground - only to be discovered in the palm of a giant metal glowing hand. Fast forward some years, she is a physicist studying this hand she fell in as a child, trying to find out what is, where it came from - and if it's a hand, does that mean there's an arm? A torso? A full body? Themis Files are told in just that - files. A nameless interviewer speaks to Rose and many others involved in this. He is somehow all knowing and able to get what he wants - but we don't know who he is. ⠀ .⠀ Interview style books may not be for everyone but I would recommend giving this a try! Especially as audiobooks, they are such fun listens! I really feel for these characters.
