Lately a local thrift has been absolutely overstocked in household linens. They've resorted to putting mismatched, but similar items into bags and charging $2.
I needed some extra napkins and hand towels. $4 later and I have perhaps too many napkins and hand towels. I'll assess that next month. Some napkins may become patches.
The hand towels all have one side that's completely blown out. Looks like shelled artillery hit one side and one side alone!
I cut the extra bits off because it was too much damage in an inconsistent way to do anything else. The oddity in tension would've sped up the demise of any repair.
A better look at the damaged section after it was cut off.
I decided to do a no knot attachment. Based entirely on the feel of the weave, trusting good old friction was the safer bet.
Later I will try to attach a reply with the light tan towel with the light tan thread blanket stitching. It's a lot easier to see work done with mismatched colors, but I recognize that it's not for everyone. Sometimes people want to fix something as close to new as possible.
I think that's perfectly lovely the same as visible mending. Difference in needs and preferences.
Until then I'm still working on other mending while recovering. I'll update those as I manage a good bit of progress. And I hope everyone gives themselves as much a break as they can.
Lack of tree getting me down, y'all.
Day One of being dry. I'm making it, but barely. I'll start chewing on the walls soon, then my attitude will go haywire.
assorted doodles from a jimmy-centric omori au i have in the works. grian is mari, if any of you were wondering. if you don't know anything about omori, this is a fun silly kid au, and if you know omori, i apologise greatly. pearl is basil. scott and joel are like aubrey together, martyn is sort of like hero, lizzie is basically kel. it's pretty 1-1 with some changes...pls ask me about this i have so many thoughts up in my dumb monkey brain and i need an excuse to draw/write about it PLEAAASE
heres a fun tidbit their entire group has silly headwear. martyn thinks he's too good for a funny headband so he has his bandanna, lizzie has calico cat ears, joel has his shrek antennae, pearl has moth antennae, and jimmy and grian have matching wings (yellow and red respectively, naturally). they're just silly little kids i love them,,,
If you are going to follow me I need information on your brief relationship with Britta Perry, and the sex act that sparked your separation. Take your time.
her strap hurted my asshole so i left her
I like listening to butt hurt people complain about BG3 winning GOTY because their arguments are always:
1. "The game is a buggy mess "
2. "Never heard of it"
3. "No one even played that game"
Knowing very well that NONE of these arguments hold up. Larian is one of the most attentive game companies I've ever seen -- constant updates, listening to fans requests, constantly adding and changing features in the game to fit people's play styles better.
And I can always just conveniently drop this:
*milkvans and bylers arguing which ship will be endgame*
the suffers: *kills off mike*
