We just wanted this idea that whatever advice Helen was going to give Noelene about how to be a successful woman in this time period was never going to work for Noelene. That — I guess the cliche is — "fake it till you make it" kind of thing. And I think maybe for a character like Helen, that has worked. But it was never going to work for Noelene because she cannot change the way she actually looks. But we wanted her to have this moment where she really believed it.  (x)
