I am super frustrated seeing that this person with a history of abusing and grooming younger women is starting up a YouTube channel, because they clearly want to be a rising star in the Left. It is super disgusting. I have been in reading groups led by this person, and my experiences have often entailed some form of abuse of power or another from them towards women, queer/trans folk, and racialized folks. This person literally pulled off a major tantrum in running a co-op / research space by silently gatekeeping participants from these bookclubs and seminars - this happened in more than one occasion, ultimately shutting the entire thing down.
I am not sure what to do other than at least say something here: Dave / Lisa / theory pleeb or theorypleeb (on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram) is an abuser. And they have been given plenty of chances to look after themselves and take care of the circumstances around them, but they have simply not and excused themselves from any responsibility to their behaviour. They were asked to take a step back from these kinds of endeavors to reflect on these things around August 2018 - and I guess, somehow they still think that they are in a place to be putting out YouTube content with all things consider only a few months later. This is especially rough after seeing the whole Dr. Bones situation go down.
Probably sometime I will slow down and elaborate on exactly what went on on my end, as there is only so much I can speak to this without stepping on other people's experiences surround theorypleeb
