          was clint in a different body? yes. was clint going to stop his day because of it? no... well, at least not totally. for the most part things were still somewhat normal for him, apart from the occasional floating chair and changing between loki’s male and female forms ( which was one hell of an experience. ) a couple of his baristas were effected by whatever happened so he was covering for them. for the first day in practically his entire life, clint hadn’t hurt himself yet. he also didn’t need his hearing aids at all which was nice, but he was worried about loki having to deal with that. he’d only had godly durability for a few hours and he could tell it’d be a struggle to not have it. hearing the bell he looked up and smiled “are you you or did you get the ol’ switcharoo too?”

Enough time had passed that just about all of the celestials must have known about the Void’s presence now. The truth was unavoidable for them now, which meant that keeping the Void a secret from Belphegor would be even harder for them. Not everything the Void had done in this form had worked out exactly as they planned, but it wasn’t easy to plan for something when the Void never thought they’d get this kind of opportunity. Right now, they had the opportunity to face one of their greatest obstacles in trying to consume Belphegor entirely: Cupid.

The Void still felt like it had the advantage. While Belphegor didn’t understand their feelings regarding Cupid, the Void did, and they understood Cupid’s feelings regarding Belphegor too. Even if she knew that it was the Void in here, he imagined it would be hard for her to hear them speaking in Belphegor’s voice. Finding her seemed to have taken the longest, but best for last.

“Cupid,” they said as they caught up to her and grabbed her hand. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”

Because of everything that was going on, Sam had to be busy almost constantly. Between working with Charlie on how to be a reaper, actually reaping the souls of so many dead, trying to find the other people who had gotten reaper powers, and teaching those who were willing to help with the crisis at hand, Sam didn’t really have much time to stop, but seeing so many people dying reminded him of all the people he’d seen die in his own universe. He had enough time to at least pick up a phone and check up on someone he’d seen die too many times. “Hey, Gabe? I know it doesn’t sound like me, but it’s Sam. Dean’s brother. How are you holding up?”

the  first  indication  that  something’s  amiss  is  the  sun  streaming  in  through  the  window  slats,  blinding  him  early  in  the  morning  when  he  wakes.   he  grumbles  under  his  breath,  bringing  a  hand  up  to  shield  his  eyes  as  he  moves  to  turn  over  —  only  to  hit  the  floor  with  a  thump.   he’s  winded  momentarily,  eyes blinking  blearily  as  he  pushes  into  a  sitting  position.   when  he  catches  a  glimpse  of  his  reflection  in  the  mirror,  it’s  panic  that  floods  through  him.   “  no. ”   he  extends  his  hands,  notes  their  unfamiliar  size  and  the  paint  adorning  the  nails,  and  proceeds  to  begin  a  chant;  a  prayer,  even.   “  no,  no,  no,  no  ... ”    he’s  no  longer  at  the  brotherhood,  that’s  for  sure,  and  the  body  that  moves  as  he  does  certainly  does  not  belong  to  him.

as  he  further  inspects  his  surroundings,  regarding  his  own  reflection  in  dismay,  he  notices  his  features  shift.   eyes  grow  darker  and  the  objects  around  him  start  to  shake.  it’s  like  someone’s  turned  a  dial  on  his  grief,  on  his  panic,  and  turned  it  to  twelve  ...  and  the  more  he  feels,  the  more  his  surroundings  start  to  be  impacted.   the  worst  part  is  that  he’s  not  sure  how  to  stop  it.   

the  room’s  in  disarray  by  the  time  he  stumbles  out,  blindly  navigating  himself  through  the  halls  until  he  hits  the  sidewalk.   he  knows  he’s  a  target,  that  he’s  not  in  complete  control,  but  in  a  time  and  place  he  isn’t  familiar  with  yet  —   he  doesn’t  know  where  he  is,  or  where  he  can  go.   he’s  an  accident  waiting  to  happen.

“  so  you’ll  never  guess  how  weird  my  day’s  going. ”   he  doesn’t  provide  much  more  for  context  as  he  drops  in  beside  roy  on  the  bench,  a  hand  pushing  sweaty  tendrils  of  hair  away  from  the  back  of  his  neck.   he’s  never  missed  his  short  hair  more  than  he  does  right  now.   “  we’re  talking  a  real-life  case  of  invasion  of  the  bodysnatchers. ”  or  some  freaky  friday  /  it’s  a  boy/girl  thing  twist  —  but  he’d  prefer  random  circumstances  over  some  kind  of  cosmic  intervention.

The Void was aware of the fact that many angels knew about their existence and their true connection to Belphegor. Gabriel wasn't one of those angels. They doubted he would be happy to hear how long everyone kept the truth from him. Seeing Gabriel walking down the street, probably in the direction of Zatanna's shop, the Void slung their arm around Gabriel. The Void was in Belphegor's female form, so they were shorter than the other angel, but that was just to make their words come out sounding more honest and trustworthy, though their appearance still held power since they got rid of the clothes Belphegor usually wore. Now, they wore a red suit, tailored to their size. They'd forced some humans to fix it for them, and then killed them afterwards. They really shouldn't trust demons. “So you're the one nobody cares about, right? What must that be like?”

Lucifer was a complicated mess in more ways than one. To the Void, they were both supportive to and hindering the Void's goals. On the one hand, Lucifer caused the war that led to Belphegor's connection to the Void. On the other hand, he worked desperately to make sure his sibling wasn't consumed entirely by the Void. It was a losing battle, but the Void had to admire his annoying persistence, especially when his attempts backfired and made things even worse. Lucifer, the poor child, had far too much to deal with for being the youngest of his family. It was time to pay him a visit. They were still dressed like Belphegor, believing that Charlie wouldn't have enough time to get the word out just yet, especially in her current form, and they strode into Lux in search of their host's little brother. “Lucifer?” they called out to the club in Belphegor's soft fragile voice.“Can we talk?” they asked, making it sound like they were nervous about the subject at hand.
