“You are more than your body and your body is as it’s meant to be”
These are the words I would tell my younger self. Before I noticed my body as more than a means to function, I actually liked who I was. At school I was crippled by anxiety which made me stumble in conversations and withdraw. I am going to write a list of my brilliant traits that I did not value then but which make me the fierce woman I am today. Talking about yourself positively is not something deemed attractive in our society often, particularly as a woman, yet I think you HAVE to find positives you can draw upon when you are feeling low...so here they are.
1) I am excellent at holding a conversation. You can be quiet or shy and I will find an opener or topic to draw upon that puts you at ease and helps you to feel comfortable with me. I am very expressive and have a genuine interest in getting to know people and this translates into how I communicate and how people respond to me. I have confidence now that, not all, but the majority of people who meet me will like me. Additionally my ability to interact well with others has served me very well in interviews
2) I vocalise my beliefs even if these contradict those others hold. I organised a protest in year 5 because I did not want to be put in the same class as my sister (Love you Bekka) and wrote a letter to the Head Teacher at my Secondary School who I believed was forcing a friend of mine to leave the school. Even though the methods I took to vocalise my outrage could have been improved, I am proud that I was the kid who fought for both themselves and others. I obviously have failed to do this on occasions but I like to think that for the most part I do stand up for causes I believe in and will defend those I love.
3) I am creative. I have not always known where to focus my creative talent (an impromptu dance to CATS at my Primary School was perhaps not my finest moment) but I bring a creative outlook to much of what I do. When I look back to some of the lyrics and poems I wrote when I was a teenager, I am impressed with my ability to express myself and empathise with other people’s situations and feelings. The language is advanced and impressive. Even though singing has been something I was always talented at, my compositions and songs are playful and imaginative and to me, this makes them special and unique.
4) I am brave. I will often put myself forward to be the first person to do something that feels scary (presenting something, a theme ride etc) and I get huge satisfaction in both my ability to push myself to take this risk and also encourage others to do the same.
5) I am determined. Once I am motivated to do something I am able to surpass so many limits that I could place on myself in order to reach this goal. I want to develop and so enjoy navigating my way to an outcome that I know is going to serve me and/or others.

In a world that constantly pulls us in different directions, mindfulness brings us back to the present moment.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy isn’t about eliminating thoughts, but learning to observe them without judgment. By cultivating awareness, we can reduce stress, regulate emotions, and break free from negative thinking patterns.

Learning to Trust Yourself Again with Dr. Rachna Buxani
Mental Health Therapist In Miami, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Mental Health Professional, Mental Health Awareness, Counselor In Miami
Self-trust is one of the most powerful emotional foundations a person can have. Yet it is also one of the first things life can take away. Disappointments, failures, heartbreaks, rejection, criticism, or even childhood experiences can slowly erode a person’s ability to trust their own decisions, feelings, and instincts. This is why the work Dr. Rachna Buxani does in rebuilding self-trust is deeply life-changing.
Many people come into her sessions feeling disconnected from themselves. They second-guess every decision. They doubt their intuition. They feel unsure of who they are or what they want. They often ask, “Why can I trust others but not myself?” Through compassionate and insightful guidance, Dr. Rachna Buxani helps them understand the roots of that disconnect.
She teaches that self-trust doesn’t disappear suddenly. It breaks in small, unnoticed ways every time you silence your emotions, ignore your needs, agree to something that feels wrong, or let someone else define your worth. Over time, you stop listening to yourself because somewhere along the way, you were taught not to.
Her counselling process begins by helping clients reconnect with their emotional truth. She encourages individuals to slow down and listen really listen to their thoughts, feelings, body signals, and internal reactions. People often realize that their instincts were always speaking; they just weren’t taught how to understand them.
Through reflective questioning, value exploration, grounding exercises, and emotional awareness tools, Dr. Rachna Buxani helps clients rediscover their inner voice. She guides them to make small decisions based on intuition and personal truth, reinforcing confidence with each step.
One of her core philosophies is: “Self-trust grows when you stop abandoning yourself emotionally.”
She teaches people to honor their needs, respect their boundaries, and validate their own feelings. Over time, clients start recognizing patterns that previously weakened their confidence overthinking, people-pleasing, fear of judgment, emotional avoidance and begin shifting them into healthier habits.
As individuals work with her, they begin to notice a profound transformation. They worry less about others’ opinions. They feel more grounded in their choices. Their voice grows louder than their fears. They learn to lead their life instead of being led by uncertainty.
With Dr. Rachna Buxani, self-trust becomes more than a concept it becomes a lived experience, a daily practice, and the foundation for emotional freedom.
Growing Through Every Emotion with Dr. Rachna Buxani
Mental Health Therapist In Miami, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Mental Health Professional, Mental Health Awareness, Counselor In Miami
Emotions are not obstacles they are teachers. They guide us, warn us, remind us, and shape us. Yet most people treat emotions like problems that must be avoided, suppressed, or dismissed. Dr. Rachna Buxani has dedicated her work to helping people understand that emotional growth begins the moment you stop fighting your feelings and start learning from them.
Her counselling philosophy begins with a fundamental truth: every emotion carries meaning. Stress may be pointing to overwhelm. Anxiety may be signaling uncertainty or unprocessed fear. Sadness may be calling for healing. Anger may be demanding boundaries. Through her supportive and insightful approach, Dr. Rachna Buxani teaches clients how to decode what their emotions are trying to say.
Instead of simply soothing symptoms, she helps individuals explore the deeper layers beneath their reactions. Why does this situation trigger me? Why do I shut down emotionally? Why do certain patterns keep repeating? Why does a small issue sometimes feel overwhelming? These questions become stepping stones toward self-awareness and transformation.
Her sessions create a judgment-free zone where people can express their emotions freely whether they feel confused, vulnerable, lost, or overwhelmed. Clients often describe these sessions as both grounding and enlightening because they finally learn to see emotions not as chaos, but as information.
Dr. Rachna Buxani uses a blend of reflective questioning, emotional mapping, grounding techniques, and cognitive reframing to guide individuals toward more meaningful emotional understanding. She helps clients grow through their feelings instead of shrinking under their weight.
The beauty of her approach lies in its gentleness. She doesn’t force emotional breakthroughs; she nurtures them. She encourages people to slow down and listen to their bodies, to their minds, to their memories, and to their needs. As clients begin to understand their emotional landscape, they develop clarity, confidence, and a deeper connection with themselves.
This emotional growth becomes a foundation for healthier choices, better relationships, and more grounded living. People learn to respond instead of react. They learn to express instead of suppress. They learn to understand instead of judge themselves.
With Dr. Rachna Buxani, emotional growth becomes a powerful journey of learning, healing, and becoming who you were always meant to be.
