“I’ll just leave this here then,” comes a deep, wry voice, and Jason breaks the kiss with a little gasp. “Sorry,” Roy says, without making any attempt whatsoever to sound it. Slade sets a first aid kit on the coffee table with a smirk. “Oh, believe me, you got nothin’ to be sorry about. Assuming you don’t want an audience, I’m gonna go wash up. Make yourselves at home.” He doesn’t actually wait for a response before he turns and heads upstairs, which is sort of a shame, because Roy felt Jason’s hips jerk slightly at the word “audience.” [In which everybody gets thoroughly fucked and Roy realizes he could probably benefit from therapy.]

when people say sex scenes are character analysis, they’re talking about this fic (even if they’ve never read it). love that the authors upfront about being in a bit of a softer-than-comics world, and love that there so much showing/suggestion of characters issue’s outside the scenes in the fic. really love the focus on roy and the love between roy and jason. love how slade is a catalyst for roy looking at himself in a way jason would never have gotten him to. also it’s well written and hot!!!
