As I did the Mid Year Book Freak-out Tag the other day I thought I could do a new post recommending some books I’ve really enjoyed these past months. Bringing you today a random picture full of classics to do the #futureclassics tag! I was tagged by the ever so lovely @but_i_thought_ whose account you should all follow if you love in depth reviews. She’s one of my faves here! Let’s get on with the questions: • Pick and established classic that you think will still be relevant in the future -> Animal Farm by Orwell. Tyranny is something that, unfortunately, will always be there. • Pick a recent read which you feel has gone under the radar, but which you hope will be a future classic -> I’m gonna go with The Tenant of Wildfell Hall since it’s the last one I’ve read. It is a classic but it doesn’t get the attention it deserves and it’s kinda sad that that is partly due to her own sister Charlotte 😞 • Pick a title that won a book prize recently which you think will still be lauded in 50 years’ time -> I’m going to go with The Power by Naomi Alderman. It wasn’t my favourite but I can understand why people will talk about it in the future, whether for good or bad. • Pick a recent book you haven’t read yet, but which you think might become a classic based on reputation alone-> The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. • Pick a favourite book that you want to save for your grandchildren to read in 50 years’ time -> I’m going to be super predictable and go with Harry Potter 💁🏻‍♀️ • • That’s all! 🇬🇧 Happy Friday! Managed to start reading ‘The Tenant of Wildfell Hall’ for the #brontebookclub2018 two days ago and I’m almost at page 200. It took me a while to get used to to Anne’s writing and it is a very slow story but so far I’m enjoying it and I hope that by the end I can shout at the top of my lungs: “Justice for Anne.” 🍄What are your plans for the weekend? 🍄 • • • • 🇪🇸 ¡Feliz Viernes! Hace dos días pude empezar por fin a leer ‘La inquilina de Wildfell Hall’ y voy por la página 200 o así. Me costó un poco a acostumbrarme a la forma de escribir de Anne pero bueno me está gustando y tengo muchas esperanzas en él.
