It’s really close to the manga. And because of the nature of manga, it feels a lot more fast paced. It’s quite hard to put down! I suggest giving it a try. Also ufotable does an amazing job and it’s so satisfying to see the scenes animated.

from what I've read it's pretty faithful! if I remember correctly, start around chapter 37-40ish?

I’d like to think so. People think soul-mates have to be romantic. I don’t necessarily believe this to be true; platonic soul-mates exist. And everyone has one. People might be hesitant to believe it, but I think everyone has at least one soul-mate.
