When we come to understand our lives we will know the whole story, why our lives turn out the way they do. I couldn’t have done what I have without me understanding the whole story.
Without understanding the whole story, I would never understand myself. It is because I understand my life that I understand myself. For the first time I feel comfortable being who I am. Let's face it my disability was never about me. I was born with it, but I didn’t do this to me, it was done to me.
We owe it to ourselves to understand. Whatever we get to deal with in childhood that we didn’t know about, may not have not been something our parents wanted to know about, but whatever their reasoning, around a disability there is absolutely no excuse. It's not even a discussion point.
The whole story encompasses the facts, learning about something in ways we didn’t know before, a single entity comprised of a collection of parts, something that requires our whole attention and understanding. I am lucky my disability, the whole story is now contained in a gorgeous paperback book.
Without the help of my blog @thecpdiary I could never have put those words together, let alone know or understand my disability.
I love the fact that I know everything there is to know about myself. I tell my story in a self-contained place and in a non-judgmental way, something I was well aware may not have happened in my lifetime. That thought did continually cross my mind.
My book is a book 'of our times.' It is a book that talks us through our lives, no matter our difficulties, issues or experiences, in a way that allows us to think about our lives positively, so that we are able to see our lives from a totally new perspective.
My book can either be purchased from my website, through the following link amzn.to/2qrpiy8 if you live in the UK. If you live in the States, it can be purchased through this link amzn.to/2WPE2Vy
Please stay safe and well through these difficult times.
