Martin Blackwood spent so much of his life feeling isolated from other people and completely unloved and it made him fall into the cold embrace of the Lonely completely and utterly, to the point he is an Avatar of it by series end. He isolated himself during season 4 for the greater good of his friend and the person he loved, assuming it would affect none of them because he was so unworthy to be cared for and loved.

And how beautiful it is that Melanie King, without hesitation, says they cared for him. That they loved him. That they grieved his loss. That there was still debate and hope he and John had survived because then they would not have lost someone so close to them.

He will never know just how loved he is and how much he is missed

Toddler Man, mostly talking to himself: "I... I f*cked the doors."

TM, fiddling with the (locked) door handle: "I f*cked the door, Mama."

Me: "ah! You locked the door buddy 😀 Good job locking the door!"

TM, agreeing: "I f*cked the door."

Pawns remember!

First time I heard Wyd directly reference a different quest outcome from a prior NG+ run (I didn't do the phantom oxcart quest until now, my fourth run).

Lore implications

This means your pawn remembers everything that happened in the prior cycle.

I'm choosing to believe that also means they keep their free will, even if gameplay mechanic wise, you have to build the affinity back up. Mayhaps you can view it as you having to show your pawn that this new iteration of you is still the same.

I know pawns recognize you in NG+ ("I knew you would not leave this world behind!"), but this direct reference to prior happenings is even better imo.

[Side note: I know pawns can also reference different quest outcomes when hired, but they'll say something like "If only my master beyond the rift would have known...", so this is defo main pawn specific dialogue.]
