Obviously I’m beyond excited about canon ace Fitzroy, but also the way Griffin talked about it? I realized that I never really hear anyone talk about asexuality, and even when I do it’s always aspecs talking about it? But Griffin talked about Fitz and his aceness so thoughtfully! Mentioning that it’s a spectrum like at least three times? Amazing! Expressing concern about falling into problematic stereotypes? Beautiful! Distinguishing it from aromanticism? Excellent! Saying that he’s not really sure where he’s at on the spectrum? Wonderful, me too babe! Like so much of what he said about him figuring out Fitzroy’s asexuality was super relatable to me figuring out where I’m at aspec-wise, and it’s just super nice to see Griffin taking the time to understand asexuality and incorporate it into Fitzroy’s character. He seemed to have put a lot of care into the whole thing, and, as always, he’s gonna do great! 💜
