Hey loves, just wanted to say, if you think I've been rather absent lately, well, I have. I've found myself in a place of really needing to change things in my life and have healthier boundaries with the internet. So I'm spending a lot less time on my phone. It's a really good thing though! Already I'm sleeping better, and getting more interested and joyful about things in my day to day life. Prayer life is seeing a significant uptick, and I'm actually enjoying the time I do spend on the internet. I promise tumblr is one of the essentials in 'things to do on my phone when I'm there'! Right up there with messages and emails. God has definitely been nudging me toward this for awhile, and I've finally accepted it. @dimsilver's post about sitting in silence and embracing it was an important seed that has finally sprouted, and of course @sailforvalinor and your digital fast gives me a sense of community even as we're both away from our devices. I'll also say that in-person life has been more fun and interesting lately, and I like being able to engage more fully with it. I love the chrumblr and fandom communities on here, and with God's help I'm finding a rhythm that gives me the best of both worlds, and keeps me healthy.
