My Day...

I won’t lie. I have spent most of the day in bed crying. I’m not going to go into why, but I’ll share that it happened.

Things that have gone well though, on this, my 37th birthday...

Dad called and instead of getting angry in that way he does and fixing, he offered support. He told me how sorry he was that life had turned out in a way that left me so disappointed...

I went to the bakery for a coffee this morning and they gifted me a birthday banoffee pie...

I dragged myself out of bed, just a block from my house for some lunch, and was gifted the largest glass of wine I’ve ever had poured for me (though not the best of moods to be drinking in, granted).

So there was some light in there, in amongst the pain. Just like ‘look for the helpers’, sometimes we also just need to stop and ‘look for the light.’ It’s in there.
