Laura does the same with the songs. Always with the TV theme song requests. Or sometimes she'll request something random like, "Sing applesauce song, mommy! Sing flowerpot song!" and then get mad when I can't make up an adequate song on the fly.

Oh, boy.  Yeah.  She's just starting to make up mysterious shit to confuse us with.  I just keep remembering when I was like six, I lost my shit because my favorite cartoon wasn't on anymore and my mom searched TV Guide repeatedly for "Magic Star" before at some point she was able to ascertain that the cartoon was actually called "Wildfire" but I'd decided that was a stupid name and the horse's name SHOULD be "Magic Star" so that was, you know, how I thought of it.  I'm sure Google would have helped that situation, at least.  (I still wonder what happened to that cartoon.)

Thank you--Baby B actually slept until almost four, so I got some decent uninterrupted sleep, at least!

I spent one day with a three year old back in 2000 and I still know most of the Elmo's World song. Which makes no sense. LA LA LA LA! LA LA LA LA! Elmo's World! Something about goldfish. Okay, maybe I just know the basics.

Actually you pretty much have it.  I kept thinking there was a part about Elmo loving his parents, but then that seemed weird to pair with "and his crayons, too," but then I remembered it wasn't his parents, it was his goldfish.  It's a horrible fucking song.  Why she couldn't request the Dinosaur Train theme instead, I cannot say.

Grew up watching it with my parents sporadically on TNN and TV Land. They had both watched it when it originally aired and loved it. Rediscovered it on Hulu a couple of years ago and binge watched it all again. :)

Sometimes I worry about socialization. Not the languages tho. I think there's too much focus on academics for toddlers.

I'm thankful I'm not alone in worrying. I think I'm constantly finding new stuff to feel guilty for. Isn't just like mommyhood to find something to worry about?

Where are you watching it from? I do want to start (especially after True Blood and Dexter ends this summer) but I don't know where to find the episodes.

Oh, I know :) I wasn't going to until probably after the baby was born anyhow. I know with the twins I was engorged for pretty much four months even after they were born it was insane.

Does the main action/conflict center more around the teens, the adults, or the family as a whole?

Basically, it's centered around the family about to fall apart. They are emotionally distant and on the cusp of divorce/disaster. A terrible thing happens to one of the children and it shakes up the parents/siblings to the point that it could bring them together. So...it centers on the relationships of the family as a whole. 

I'm basically worried that I'm writing a book that isn't marketable, which wouldn't be a total loss. My sister likes the book at least. :) So, in the very least, it would be a learning experience and my sister would be entertained. Yet, it would be pretty awesome to sell a book too.

Holy moly! 23 covers? Do you change the cover every diaper? Ive got 6 and we only use 4-5 of them!

Well in all fairness some of them are technically pocket diapers, not actual covers. We started having some repelling issues with the fleece though, and could never get them stripped to the point of using them as pockets, so we just use them as covers and lay the prefolds directly inside them instead of stuffing the pocket. We finally JUST got some RLR though (the website we order from is constantly out of stock) so hopefully soon I can fix that, although by this point I think I just prefer using them as covers instead of pockets.

And no, we don't change the cover every change, usually it's every 2-3 changes, or if he poos and some gets on the cover then we obviously change it, haha.
