I find it hilarious that the Doctor is always surprised by the master’s latest disguise. Like it’s literally canon that timelords can sense each other and the Doctor is absolute shit at it.

Like Mels/River? Understandable, she’s got slightly different biology/maybe didn’t have the same telepathic signatures.

But the Master? The childhood friend they’ve had countless telepathic and physical interactions with over millennia. Who can smell the Doctor the second he gets to earth and also assumes the Doctor can do the same (“gotta get rid of the smell, he can smell me! *rubs food wrappers on himself).

Like I get they’re a powerful telepath and could even use perception filters. But the smell!

I just love the idea that the Doctor could be on a gallifreyan version of those Febreeze commercials bc they are absolutely “Noseblind” and I don’t even know if the master understands this (again, concern the doctor would smell him, but also Simm was not in a great state of mind?). Does he just think the Doctor is playing along?

Or alternatively. They (and the Doctor) think that the Doctor just misses them so much they’d assume olfactory hallucinations were at play. Or that they carry around master-scented sentimental items like some sort of sad puppy so it doesn’t change when they’re around.

So Missy lives in the TARDIS now. Trying to be good, fixing things, watching the Doctor doing his adventuring and stuff, worrying about him, tolerating his companions even…

My question is:

Did the Doctor make an android body for her too, or it would be too much of a coincidence?

Because we’ve seen it before, you know. With another (alternative) Doctor. It was all rather sweet.
