That post about death note being "everyone's first anime" (untrue statement) made me curious and now I want to gather data for science
Can you reblog this and tell me where are you from and what was your starter anime?

Feeling so incredibly validated that my head canon of the past Doctors still “living” in the current Doctor’s subconscious, being catty bitches who bicker 24/7 and are probably backseat driving, has been canonized @atalanta133
everyone always acts so aghast about the whole “the doctor kidnapped his first companions!” thing which yeah obviously terrifying from ian and barbara’s pov but you really gotta look at it from the angle of “guy who just ran away from home comes across someone breaking into his car and in a panic locks the doors hits the gas and now they’re all very very lost” and then it becomes hysterical
i know what you’re thinking but i really only save worms off the sidewalk after it rains out of altruism. the fact they swear their fealty to me and promise to one day see me sit upon the Romanian throne has nothing to do with it and i’ve asked them to stop doing that.
please tell her my Romanian great grandmother was a humble farmer and I swear I’m not with the worms, I don’t want any trouble
Do we have similar haircuts? Maybe the worms have been confusing me for you, the True Worm Ruler.
An older Doctor Who animation but I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it soooooooo...!
I always love when the Eighth Doctor writers disagree on the colour of Paul Mcgann's real human eyes or just straight up change them in the middle of a book :]
Your boy terry has got the spydoc brainrot
(I rewatched the timeless children. Idc about my isssues with the lore anymore thoschei is more important and this episode has SO MANY INSANE THOSCHEI MOMENTS)

I love that song. It's about Bonnie Prince Charlie. I know, it's sweet. Let's go. It's sweet, and it's sad. And it's about soldiers fighting. But it's sad, like a lullaby, and that's right, isn't it? Songs about soldiers should be sad, don't you think?
stopping the master from committing atrocities, a manual:
step 1. pick them up.
step 2. hold gently.
step 3. avoid getting bitten.
success!
the protocol is failing!
There will be so many war crimes.

To any fic writers who worry they are wasting their time... I read a fic for a relatively small and inactive fandom about three years ago. And there was one specific scene where a character watched another dancing like an idiot to a beyonce song and it was so sweet and loving that even now years later I have that song on one of my spotify playlist so every once in a while it will play and remind me of that fic, and every time it does I smile and feel a little happier.
The stats on a fic will never really tell you if your writing touched someone. There's no numerical way to show you what impact you made. Maybe you are wasting time, or maybe you are writing something that someone will remember for a long time, something that will never fail to make them smile.
One time when I was still new at writing I read something to the effect of “nothing is sacred. Even the people who love your fanfic today will have forgotten all about it in a few months.”
That’s just. Not true.
I can still remember parts of the very first stories I read. Maybe not the titles or authors, maybe not even the most profound parts. But I remember them. A little line of dialogue, a creative description, something that sounded JUST LIKE the character(s).
There are some stories I do remember by title and author, and still recall vividly. I even go back and read them now and then if they’re still around. Some of these stories are 25 years old. I was in sixth grade when I found them. I still think about them. I still smile about them. Way, way more than “a few months” after I read them.
if it hadn't been for the fanfics of this one girl, I wouldn't have gotten into Doctor Who - at least, when I did. and it changed my life (and me, I think) a lot.
I still think of these stories sometimes. they were very short but there was so much magic in them. the way she wrote about companions - Amy, Rose, Martha, Donna... I had to meet them for myself. so I did.
Happy birthday William Russell - 19 November 1924
In The Wedding of River Song, River says, “I’ve been sending out a message. A distress call. Outside the bubble of our time, the universe is still turning, and I’ve sent a message everywhere. To the future and the past, the beginning and the end of everything. The Doctor is dying. Please, please help.”
Then in Time of the Doctor, after the Doctors save Gallifrey, the Time Lords answer the message, but thanks to the timeline craziness they’re unsure where it came from, so they project their reply on a repeating cycle through all of time and space via the rifts created by the TARDIS. “Doctor who?”
When Clara answers the message, she just says they should help him. “His name, his name is the Doctor … and if you love him, and you should, help him. Help him.” The Time Lords indeed give him a massive burst of regeneration energy, but it’s thanks to River’s message about the Doctor dying that they knew what kind of help he needed.
