well actually i just listen to album and not really the first video but since i found a video of the performance and i'm pretty sure it's pretty good so i'm also posting that one.
yesterday was hellish as it reached 40 degrees celsius. i didn't even feel like talking to friends and i stayed in all day with a fan that felt more like a fan heater so i skipped but i felt like matthew's passion because it was such a tough week heat wave wise.
idk how common it is but i have hypophantasia/subvocalisation/audiation so i can kind of listen to things in my head as i please as long as i have a decent idea of what i want to listen to (that includes things that i make up) and i was thinking of this for a while yesterday. but to listen to it at a certain volume in my ears? i wept a bit on my way to the office today.
also! why didn't i even recognise akademie für alte musik berlin as a berlin thing? i like that album and i feel like i might've seen them perform christmas oratorio many many years ago which felt absolutely electric.
although it might've been thomanerchor tho since i feel like it was in leipzig. it's also good but i do listen to akademie version.
kinda funny that i realised that i live in the same city as them and horsegiirL only recently

Gotthold Schwarz, der 17te #Thomaskantor nach #JohannSebastianBach, wurde heute im Rahmen der Schuljahresabschlußmotette aus seinem Amt verabschiedet. Hier ist ein sehr unterhaltendes Interview mit den Thomanern. Die Thomasschule in Leipzig ist 800 Jahre alt. Man kennt sie meistens wegen ihres Zusammenhangs mit dem berühmten Komponist, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685- 1750). Die Jungen dieser Schule hatten Unterricht in Musik bei ihm zwischen 1723- 1750 (das Todesjahr Bachs).
