Fave Animated Movies 9/10: The Aristocats
The Aristocats is one of the most underrated Disney movies of all time. I grew up watching this movie and have always had an appreciation for it. It’s a sweet, fun and simple story. It helps that it has so many animals and I love animals. The kittens are adorable and funny. They act exactly like siblings their age do. Marie slightly annoys me sometimes but she’s just a kid. Duchess is elegant and polite but doesn’t come off as stuck up. She’s a wonderful mother too. Thomas O’Malley is charismatic and sweet and just so fun and full of life. He’s probably my favorite cat of the movie. Him and Duchess are cute together. Roquefort and Frou-Frou are awesome and sweet friends who can be pretty funny. Lafayette and Napoleon’s adventures are pretty funny too. I love the spunk of all of the other alley cats. Edgar is just an annoying villain because he just doesn’t stop trying to get rid of Duchess and the kittens. I really love how throughout the whole movie Duchess and the kittens stay together as a family and really care for each other no matter how much the kittens fight. It’s really sweet and heartwarming. My favorite scenes are probably the alley cat scenes because they’re just all so fun and full of life even though they don’t have owners and homes. They’re like a big family too. Lafayette and Napoleon’s adventures are fun too because they’re always getting into some kind of mess. I love how much it shows that Duchess and her owner really love each other. There’s nothing like a connection between an owner and their pet. The animation is beautiful and old-school. It looks like a beautiful painting. The soundtrack is so fun and jazzy. This movie doesn’t really seem like it has a whole lot going on but it’s not boring. It also shows that you can always find your way back home.

🎵 “I’ve got that wanderlust. Gotta walk the scene. Gotta kick up highway dust, feel the grass that’s green. Gotta strut them city streets, showing off my eclat, yeah. Tellin’ my friends of the social elite or some cute cat I happen to meet.” 🎵
This is O'Malley a lovely cat I met in the streets of buffalo, NY. A true alley cat and he’s quite proud of that💚
