Dating Thor Would Include . . .
For the crown prince of Asgard, Thor is one of the kindest and most selfless people you’ve ever met. Yes, he’s gone through incredible personal development since his younger days, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a sweeter and stronger person.
or a more muscular one. Talk about man candy
it’s a tad irritating when you’re out with him and see other people drooling over his muscular physique and heart-melting smile. But he doesn’t mind that you get jealous -- if anything, it’s amusing to him.
and he definitely doesn’t complain about what you do to him when you get home afterwards (out of pure spite to all the prying eyes)
Thor’s not possessive, but he is protective, and it warms him to see you extending that same gesture of affection. Albeit a tad more aggressively.
He’s the sweet and slow type what can i say
He gives really good hugs. Like being wrapped in a sweet-smelling, soft blanket.
SERIOUSLY he smells divine. His cologne is so good, you feel like you should be paying just to smell it.
Not only that, but he knows a lot about hair. Those luxurious locks don’t brush themselves
He lets you braid his hair often -- whether for serious purposes or as a cathartic, sitting-on-the-couch ritual -- and teaches you intricate Asgardian patterns and braids. He does yours to match, sometimes.
He’s a big fan of period romance. You made the mistake of letting him watch Pride and Prejudice and he quotes it obnoxiously often. That, and Mamma Mia.
He’s got good taste, you can’t really blame him
Most people don’t count on the god for his intelligence, but Thor isn’t all brawn. You’re surprised by the things he can perceive and understand on a whim, his grasp of science and culture. Despite being otherworldly, he adapts to Earth with grace and ease.
When the two of you sit out on the balcony and stare up at the stars, he can tell you all of their Norse names and the stories that go with them.
Sharing a bed with him means you have your own personal heater. Comforters and blankets be damned, because Thor can and will hold you at night once he falls asleep, and it’s hard to wriggle free from those muscular arms. He’s never too warm, either -- just the right temperature.
And he’s a good teacher. When you express an interest in learning to fight, he takes your request in stride -- even though you know you could probably never beat him, he’s made of muscle -- and helps you learn to defend yourself without discouraging you. Despite the huge difference in skill, sparring with him is fun (and incredibly sweaty).
the shower sex afterwards is BOMB
He’s the best when you’re going anywhere, especially to concerts and crowd events. Sitting perched on his wide shoulders is always the best seat in the house.
Actually, he picks you up all the time. Regardless of your size, Thor just really loves hoisting you like a sack of potatoes for some reason. He swings you up into hugs on the regular, throws you over his shoulder when you’re being obstinate, and carries you effortlessly when you’re tired. Can you say “dream man”
One of your favorite things to do is wake up before him, purely to appreciate his everything. In sleep, his animated expressions and bright blue eyes are veiled behind a peaceful expression. It makes your heart flutter, seeing his dark eyelashes catch in the morning light, the way the sun hits his face with that soft glow.
He’s like summer personified, and every day with him is long and warm and sweet.
